The price does not do justice for the taste, I was disappointed ? in the taste. Great service though

The woman running this place is incredibly entertaining! The cupcakes are some of the best I've ever tasted! I've been enjoying these since I was 2 years old! (I'm currently 11). If I could, I'd give this place a 7 out of 5 stars!

This place boasts excellent customer service, but unfortunately, the cupcakes didn't quite live up to expectations. These pancakes were just okay—nothing extraordinary, so I wouldn’t order them again. We also tried two mini cupcakes priced at $5 each, which felt a bit steep for their size. The frosting was pleasantly not overly sweet, but it had a very buttery consistency and flavor that I didn’t enjoy. There are definitely tastier cupcakes available elsewhere. The square shape of the cupcake is a fun concept, but it didn’t translate well in terms of flavor—there was a noticeable lack of taste.

I was really excited to try this place and the aromen they offered looked so delicious. I ordered some mini cupcakes, lilikoi, vanilla and non-so-red-velvet, unfortunately the only positive was the cake density that was good and very moist. there was almost no taste for the actual cake or frosting through, it was blande and had no notice of passion or vanilla or anything else than butter and sugar. I was so disappointed, not sure whether I had them on a free day or what, but would hesitate to go back based on my first experience there.

It's my father in laws 80th birthday and I already spent a ton of money at a big desert place known to be extordianry if you get my hint. I happened to be in Point Loma abd I remembered how delightful and tasty Cupcakes Squared is. Since we are going to a local burger spot tonight I thought walking in with a cake would be difficult. At least with a Cupcake it's a single serving. 4 Cupcakes were on 16.00. Considering I just paid 28 for 2 slices of cake I consider this to be a bargain. I had to write this review after ordering from her probably 10 times in my Life. The cupcakes are phenomenal. The frosting is unmatched and I love the Minis. They make them Gluten free for us and it 's just unreal. I have had friends say this is the best cupcake of their Life. I agree. I actually had a cupcake Cake at my wedding. So yes the product is amazing. Not only that the service is so good as well. They have done same day gluten-free orders for me when I really needed them and they are always so kind. Sometimes they even throw in a couple extra if the batter made more than I ordered. These are such a treat. Thank you.

I was doing laundry near by and noticed this shop, looked it up on yelp it said it was closed today but to my surprise it was open! I am very pregnant and couldn't pass up the opportunity of a gluten free cupcake. Yes please! I will prob come back just for these. I got a red velvet and a salted caramel for my husband and two strawberry minis. They were moist and the whipping cream was delicious, the red velvet was very chocolatey and my husbands salted caramel was amazing. The strawberry minis were also really good and moist. They were very nice and worked hard to accommodate me getting cupcakes on my bday even though they were not open that day normally. I ordered the lillikoi (vanilla bean cupcake with passion fruit buttercream and lime zest). I ordered it sugar free. Unfortunately, they used coconut sugar. As far as I know, coconut sugar *is* sugar, making them not actually sugar free. Just as importantly, the cupcakes tasted exclusively of molasses (due to the coconut sugar) and had the texture of zucchini bread. The buttercream was sweetened with something else, but it didn't taste like passion fruit.
