"I had a belated birthday dinner with a friend, and we both enjoy Indian cuisine. We decided to meet halfway between our homes at Curry and Kababab Bistro. I'm usually a fan of Little India for my Indian food fix, but this place has a decent and affordable lunch buffet. I was hoping to have Gulab Jamun for dessert, but unfortunately, they didn't have it available. However, the Garlic Naan was excellent, and my friend enjoyed her chicken dishes. I did find the lentil dal to be a bit too watery for my taste, but overall, the food was decent. The staff was friendly and attentive, quickly clearing our plates. The restaurant itself was very clean."

The chai here is the best, the mango lassi is incredibly delicious, and the buffet offers excellent value for the price.

Excellent authentic food, polite service and nice interior. The Nann is far superior in my opinion served fresh not soggy like some other places I've tried.

Went with a friend of mine to dine in a restaurant, after a long time. Enjoyed the food, drinks and service while we are there and Yes, the lamb biryani was excellent, as mentioned by other patrons : Can easily recommend to anyone craving Indian food in the neighborhood!

Absolutely amazing food, but always so stingy with her rice. Every time I get our dishes, I feel that we go through the big lack of rice and I hurt the village by asking for enough rice. It is so small and so easy to fix that it should not hurt financially either. It's just rice. View menu

The food is generally good, although last time we went it was oddly flavorless, which is a weird thing for an Indian place. The service is consistently bad. Wait staff spend a lot of time behind the bar area chatting. Getting refills and/or the check can be a chore, which is baffling.

I recently discovered this charming little restaurant. The buffet is very affordable, and although the space is small, the dishes are incredibly delicious. They provide plastic gloves, cover the food, and have hand sanitizer available, which made me feel safe while dining. The service was also excellent and friendly.

I've only tried takeout from this restaurant, but I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. They have a fantastic selection, and the food is always bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the surprisingly affordable prices. They also offer a wide range of vegetarian options. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The staff was incredibly friendly, and it was clear that this restaurant is family-owned. The atmosphere was charming, complete with authentic Indian decor and music in the background (not to mention the Indian TV station playing on a screen), which made me feel like I was in India. Without a doubt, I can say this is the best Indian restaurant in the city, and I will definitely return.

I’m from the UK where Chicken Tikka Massala has actually overtaken Fish Chips as the national dish! . Unfortunately, you can’t find a half decent Indian in Georgia (where I live), so was so pleased to find this gem in California. Don’t be fooled by the size of the place, or location; the food is outstanding, as is the service. For one night in my life, I didn’t actually miss the UK! For a brief moment in time, after finishing my Massala, I was in heaven as I dipped my Peshwari Naan in the Massala sauce washed down with a bottle of White wine! Definitely worth a visit!

"First time exploring the Huntington Beach food scene, and a local friend recommended Mama 's on 39. Special shout out to our server Eric who was super awesome, knowledgeable and took care of our table promptly and professionally. We ordered the KBBQ Pork Tots, the Loaded Biscuit Skillet, the Country Fried Prime Rib Eggs, and two house Waffles a-la-carte. First off, when the menu says Share Me Starters they really mean it. The portion size on the KBBQ Pork Tots are massive, 4+ people massive, we ate about half, as i wanted to try the main course but was already realatively full. The tots are savory and sweet and loaded to the brim with toppings, it 's not so much Korean BBQ as in they just mix in kbbq sauce over pulled pork but definitely still worth a taste. The Loaded Biscuit Skillet was good, i wish the biscuits weren 't so dense, but they were still soft and fresh, the gravy was a bit strange tasting, when i got a to-go box they gave us a couple cups with more gravy and the gravy we got to-go was way better than what was served, however i enjoyed the dish regardless. The Country Fried Prime Rib Eggs was delicious, the Prime Rib had a weird slippery texture to the meat, but was still very flavorful and delicious. Finally, the Waffles A-La-Carte. The waffles were a tie for first next to the tots. The waffles made me regret not getting the chicken and waffles dish. Next time. Mama 's on 39 is a great local restaurant to check out with a group of friends and/or family. My only real complaint is the portion size, i am not joking when i say the dishes are huge and not meant for just 2 people. Try it out, i am sure you 'll love it"
