David's Catfish House

We went for lunch, it was my first time to eat there. The service was excellent and the food was good. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. We all had a very good lunch. I also ordered food to go so I wouldn't have to cook dinner later.

Had the $5.00 lunch basket special that ends 8/16 and it was great. Fish basket, popcorn shrimp basket and roasted green tomatoes. I would like to have green onions in my hush puppies, but still cudos to the cook. Our server Maddy was excellent. Thank you for the amazing food and great service.

If you love fish. Then this is the place to get it. I love fishing. But at David's you don't have to. Look for when they have specials which I think is everyday. Prices not going to break you. And you can save on the gas for the boat and the bait and sunburn. Fish is always good at David's Catfish House

Our service was delightful. Our waitress was kind and bubbly, and she just made the whole night enjoyable. Unfortunately, all my food was severely overcooked. Not burned, but any semblance of moisture was cooked out before serving. The gravy on the hamburger steak was also quite salty, but you can't really argue with that price point.

40 minutes waiting for cold food. Waitress Tasha never came to the table to wait long to explain. There were other waitresses checking their tables, but not them. She didn't even ask if we needed another drink. She also seemed to be a sweet girl who wasn't properly trained. I don't know who's responsible for cold food. The food was cold and had no seasonings. I ordered jumbo shrimp, but got more like medium size shrimp. I can't get fresh seafood where I live so when I'm able to I don't mind paying for it, but this just wasn't worth it. I know good shrimp and this just wasn't. They did have a bar attached to the restaurant and we had a few beers with dinner and the prices were actually really cheap. They were better prices than you would expect for a tourist location.

Headed back from Texas I stopped in Pensacola for a quick bite to eat. David's Catfish was saboit 7-10 minutes depending on traffic off the interstate. The food was really good. I thought I was getting catfish fillets as that what was I would have preferred but I know how to pick bones. The Mac and cheese was good, the shrimp were good just wasn't as flavorful. I took my order over the phone and paid when I got there. The lady of took my order was really nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Worst experience by far. When a woman entered the phone. I waited for her to finish the call that took a few minutes. She told me that soon someone would sit. The Hostess/Witress went to us, looked right at my service dog?? and went through the restaurant far away from all others. Back where no other customers were. The waitress said we had to sit there for my dog. I let them know that he was a trained service dog and we will be sitting close to the public.
