"The food is simply unbeatable and it's our go to place in A2, but.....lately I've found myself getting repeatedly somewhat annoyed there at the service (or lack of it . My experience during lunchtime seems to be much better but the last three times I went for dinner, it's been sort of awkward because you don't seem to actually have a server. Yes, you order on the phone which is easy enough, and someone brings you the food and someone does refill water occasionally. Someone else might come by but I find you have to flag someone down if you need something. Never does a server stop by just to see if all is ok or if you need something. I get it, it's mostly self service, but I have finally adjusted my gratuity where it seems odd to just give the usual 20% (I think the min pre-selection on the app is 18% when you don't actually have a server checking on you. Also, the metal chairs on some of the outdoor tables are REALLY uncomfortable. Next time I gotta remember to bring my football bleacher seat cushion. It's just odd to see a place put SO MUCH effort into producing just beautiful and tasty food, but put so little care into the rest of the dining experience."

Cute, pleasant place, was in town for a every short while and was happy to find this within walking distance of where I was, loved the menu options, I had the tempeh wrap and Horchata. Both were yumm, the Horchata was so good, I got a second one to go. Highly recommend for vegans.

Food is DELICIOUS, plenty, AND healthful with lots of ingredients (which you don't have to clean and chop yourself!! The eminently sensible method of ordering from the online menu after you are seated creates an orderly service experience from the LOVELY service staff. GO there. Although it always appears packed, you will get a seat!

Went here for a weekday lunch. The indoor seating is now open. They have a QR code on each table so you can use your phone to order and pay. When we were seated, someone came to our table to make sure that we were comfortable with ordering on our phones. We were really hungry and I was hoping that our food would arrive quickly. This is a vegan paradise. The friendly host allowed us to use real menus and to order from him after I pleaded QR code fatigue. The taco salad is incredible, with flavors ranging from creamy to crunchy to decadent to vegerrific. The banh mi is a nice blend of spicy and comforting, with the added bonus of griddled bread. Our eating area featured fresh flowers everywhere and was enlivened by a full cohort of patrons enjoying their evening meal. Our stopover in Ann Arbor became a highlight of our trip thanks to this wonderful vegan spot.

Detroit Street Filling Station was a highlight of our trip to Ann Arbor for both the vegan and the meat eater! Every single thing we ordered was delicious, and now I have a reason to get back to Ann Arbor to try more from the menu. I chose the Treetown Tempeh Reuben and upgraded to tater tots with yum yum sauce. We joked that the sauerkraut on the sandwich brought a punch you in the face flavor (in the best way). Amazing.
