"We have been loyal customers of Trappers since it was known as Sushi Town, so we have been visiting for many years. During our recent visit, we found the service and atmosphere to be excellent, but the quality of the food was not as good as we have experienced in the past. In particular, the rice was under cooked. This was the first time in over 20 years that we have encountered an issue with our meal. We will still return in the future, but perhaps we will choose a different location next time."

"This was the worst dining experience we ever had. 1 Our waitress never brought us water. We had to ask another waitress for water. 2 One of the waitresses dropped a bowl from a table she was busing it sprayed sticky stuff over one of us. 3 People who came 5 10 minutes after we did were getting served. 4 An hour into waiting for food, a waitress asked us if we needed more water or were ready for the check. We told her we never got our food, and she responded by saying oh sh . We asked for the food to go because it was getting late. Another 10 15 minutes passed and it became clear the food order never made it to the kitchen. At that point, we told them we 'd just pay for the one drink we ordered and wanted to leave. 5 I politely explained why we no longer wanted the food. The waitress wouldn 't look me in the face and hid her face with her hand (or maybe she was holding her head, idk). Either way, she never apologized for our experience. She did however, argue with the kitchen staff in front of me. And all this is not counting the fact that one of the waitresses spilled a glass of water all over another party 's table while we were there. Yikes. It must have been a rough day, but we won 't be returning."

"Not only our favorite restaurant in Sumner, but one of our all-time lovers in the counties King and Pierce. A beautiful, quiet and old-fashioned warm home like setting with friendly staff and owners who simply serve fabulous food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner are all exceptional and we never had a meal that we did not rave. We often have guests from the city that we have taken to the restaurant and also they are delighted with the service, the food and insist that we visit it again on their next trip. It is difficult to call here or have a favorite meal, because everything is good, but if I had to call one thing, it would be the Prime Rib-Dip sandwich, which (in our opinion) is without equal everywhere! To assure yourself of a delicious meal, remember to make reservations so that you will not be disappointed upon arrival to find the restaurant is fully booked."

"We make this a yearly visit for my sisters birthday. Over the 5 or 6 years, they have been out of an item rarely, and always serve top notch flavors and creativity. While years past has given awesome service, our server Kacie Saturday night I don't think could have cared less if we died at the table. She was very aloof and too cool it seemed to communicate with us above the bare minimum. We ordered drinks and apps right away, as we were starving, and don't think we were rude or abrasive, but didn't feel like she was worried about us all night. We did recieve all drinks and food in a timely manner, it just felt the magic of connecting with your server was non-existent. We will definitely be back, its just nice to be in for a special occasion and acknowledged while in the restaurant. The owner/chef? did come out to check on us, and his personality was amazing, we told him everything was fantastic. Wish it was a little warmer (as we were by the roll up door) and wish they turned on the fire place at the bar for added ambiance."
