"Now, onto the food. I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich on a bagel, but I noticed a decline in their attention to detail and preparation. They prepare their eggs in a casserole format ahead of time, which can taste quite good if done right. Unfortunately, both my sandwich and my wife's were served cold in terms of the meat and egg. It seemed evident that whatever method they used to warm them up—likely a microwave—was insufficient, leading to a subpar breakfast experience. It wasn’t a huge issue, as I could just microwave it at home, but it certainly didn’t enhance the overall experience. The mocha was decent; after all, it’s hard to mess that up too badly. However, the establishment uses a system that prompts customers to share feedback and solicit tips on an iPad. Generally, if I’m standing up while ordering, I don’t give a tip, and the fact that they ask for it feels quite irritating. To add to my frustration, they solicit tips while expressing their political beliefs, which firmly closes the door on any future visits. I called a friend who I knew was heading to Buckeye Chocolate and asked him to call me after his visit to share his thoughts for my upcoming Yelp review. He echoed my concerns, questioning why the business would allow that kind of political expression from their employees. We both agreed that cold egg sandwiches and political opinions don’t make for a pleasant breakfast experience. Neither of us plans to return. I wish them good luck trying to market their one-sided political beliefs alongside their coffee."
