"Worst morning service I have ever experienced. The waitress gave us attitude from the second we walked in and tried saying that we were mixing the salt and sugar. We were drinking sugar with our coffee so what would give us a reason to pour salt in the sugar? Next thing to happen food gets there after a long 45 to 50 min wait. and HALF the order was incorrect with no silverware. When I went to ask for silverware attitude again. As soon as we got the food the waitress that said we had been mixing the salt and sugar came and grab them even though we were still using them. Got more attitude when I asked for them back. The food was good but cold by the time it was served to us.. every time we would ask for something we needed to eat our food with (syrup, silverware, cream or, ect.. it was thrown on our table nearly tipping over or spilling. After this experience I will not return again. It's sad for the fact that the food could have been great if warm but the service had to speak other wise.."

Our waiter was Charity and she was very sweet and she was super fast to get our drinks and food. I would ask you if you wanted a fast and great service. The French toast was amazing!!! Thanks for being a great place.

Went for breakfast and food was cold. Had the Jamestown Scram, which is basically hodge podge of stuff put together into what looked like a sorry omlete. Nothing special about dinner at all. Just basic food. Staff were very friendly, service good and prices is affordable.

We went to breakfast today and had a great experience. The service was amazing, friendly, attentive and fast. The food was absolutely delicious. We've been here twice a year, and the decor was different, very neat. The place looks brighter and cleaner. Just a great experience!

We visited for breakfast today and had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food was simply delicious. We've been coming here twice a year since we first visited Cedar City, and the decor has changed; it looks very neat. The restaurant feels brighter and cleaner now. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! View menu

This is a mom and pop diner. The place was pretty crowded and service was insufficient to handle all the tables having guests, however we weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us to wait. Looks like a small family run place that the kids were helping the parents with, and that adds a star in my book. Good was what you would expect, and since it was crowded it all just kinda came out warm. But I liked the atmosphere and everybody was friendly.

on Saturday breakfast. everyone was super friendly, and as attentive as they could be on a busy morning. eating was good, they have a lot to choose for the breakfast. there is nothing crazy on the menu, it is quite standard, but still good and just what they want for a good simple breakfast. I like it that it is small, but in contrast to most other places in the city there were open seats as soon as we went into so we didn't have to wait. that's worth it.

My wife and I have eaten twice in downtown Diner and will eat there three times before I left town. The staff is friendly and the service could not have been better. Your coffee cup will never be empty. So far we had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, pancakes and cookies and Gravy. Eggs, boiled as desired, bacon is thick cut, hashbrowns seem to be crushed in house, pancakes are large and perfectly cooked and biscuits and gravy have served a lot of meat and on large biscuits. Food has arrived right and hot every time. Both times our server was Shauna. She is a delightful young lady, funny to chat and she regularly checks you. We will definitely recommend Downtown Diner to our traveling friends and fam... View menu

The service was extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes just to receive a menu. There was also a delay in taking our order and preparing our food. On the positive side, the food was good and very reasonably priced. However, after finishing our meal, we waited about 15 minutes before asking for the check. We then waited an additional 30 minutes despite making two more requests for it. Finally, I went to the counter to let them know we needed to leave and required our check. It arrived a few minutes later, and we were finally able to pay and leave. In total, our experience lasted two hours from start to finish. This restaurant might be great when it’s not busy, but if it appears crowded when y...

"It's disheartening to realize a place where in the beginning of eating at American Diner, good atmosphere and good food was a place to always go but now as of lately, disappointment especially in the afternoon/evenings. Ordered items where server and/or cooks not paying attention to ordered items were wrong yet one was corrected. Okay taken care of. Dining experience started off okay but then turned uncomfortable as the afternoon staff consist now of mainly high school and college student's which their on cell phones, congregated in their groups of chatter and limited observing the needs of their customers... causing the atmosphere to feel uneasy as servers were just wanting to lag around, just get by, not wanting to get things done and prepared for the dinner shift. Yes it's understandable that being in a College town, the owner is wanting through these younger generations, to make his diner more college oriented by hiring only young folks yet hoping that work ethic is being taught. How ever what made for uncomfortable and unprofessional is observing two job applicants come in a young lady which the owner hugs yeah he may know her but still...be professional about it). I'm sorry but dressing inappropriate in short shorts, tight tank top and sneakers for an interview, No. Anyway, Interview proceeds, she's hired on right there and then she proceeds to goof around, hugging girls talking and laughing loud, which causes her glass to fall, breaking the glass beverage to spill all over the floor with customers near by all totally unprofessional in a place of business in front of customers. Meanwhile, the other young man who by the way came in a couple minutes after the young lady is dressed accordingly dress shirt, pants and shoes) is told by the owner to wait. How long? Don't know. Good luck to the young man. However how interesting that No Jobs were posted, in fact they were covered up....so. hmmm. Which is pretty sad to say that now a days It's not what you know, experience you have BUT WHO you know. Would we return? In time but only for the morning crew. They're more professional."
