"Drink Me! Tea Room is located in a Tempe strip mall. Reservations are required for a 2 hour max. We had a ladies outing on a Thursday. This is a casual dress more modern tea room with a cute Alice in Wonderland themed interior. Our host explained the teas and we each selected a black or green tea of our choice. They also have cocktails which you can add to price of tea. The Alice tea was my favorite. It was a green tea with vanilla notes. When you add a squeeze of lemon the tea magically turns pink/purple but the tea maintains a smooth taste. The tea was served in modern glass tea pots with plain black tea cups. The tea treats included savory and sweet options but heavy on the sweets and baked goods. NOTE: all items are plant based and gluten free. The savory included egg salad sandwich made with Just Egg. It would have been nice to have 4 individual egg salad instead of 2 which we split between the 4 of us. The chick pea salad on soda bread was very tasty. The other savory items cucumber, and hummus were served on small crackers. On to baked goods/sweets which included scones and bisquits with coconut cream and lemon curd. The sweets included an almond checkerboard cake with marzipan (moist my favorite), espresso chocolate cake, macarons, key lime tarts, shortbread cookies, and mushroom shaped meringues. The key lime pie filling tasted a little off and the crust being GF and plant based was hard and dry. Overall, it was a nice time with friends and tea..and enjoyed the quiet time together. A nice variety of teas and the presentation was cute but not a traditional English tea. I liked the informality of the tea, we dressed in shorts as did the wait staff but do prefer more traditional tea items such as chicken, cucumber, and real egg salad sandwiches. If you prefer GF and Plant Based this is for you. If you prefer a more formal and traditional tea setting I would look further."
