"When my doctor friend came into town and asked to get Chinese food, The Eight Immortals came immediately to mind. He and I have been best friends since Junior High School, and he just can't stop talking about our time in the 8 immortals. I would put this restaurant at the level of The Pink Pearl in Toronto, Canada, where I went every Saturday with Master Moy Lin Shin (Taoist priest from Hong Kong's Fung Loy Kok temple). the whole class came because we were hungry after 6 hours of doing the form, push hands, etc .and we wanted that feel of higher consciousness flowing through our bodies and minds. Then, it was back to play with swards and sabers, energized as we were from the sharing of great food and friendship. Wo Hops in NYC's China Town has similarly great food, but not the spirit."

New owners food was okay. Not as good as the original.

Server already knew exactly our preferences before we requested. He has served us before. Good food and efficient service.

They got some tasty msg and that rice tastes good. Kid-friendliness: They have a student menu and everything is 7 dollars on it for 2022.

Purchased rice bowl with roasted duck. Amazing. The rice is plentiful and can feed three individuals. Pair this bowl with another meat entry to enjoy with family or friends.

Such a great mom and pop spot! We got the beef chow mein, and the sweet-and-sour chicken, and they were both the best versions of those I’ve ever had in my life! Highly recommend!!

Unlike new Chinese restaurant, this restaurant has everything from 70s and 80s Chinese restaurant. You can meet all kinds of 3rd, 4th generation ABC (American Born Chinese) Total fun!!! View menu

I used to come here in high school for lunch many moons ago and their food is excellent. Great dishes at very reasonable prices and the staff is friendly too. I'm glad to see that they're still around because they deserve it!

What a jewel! Very tasty! Easy parking for this small restaurant. Wonderful mom and pop style service. We had the classic tomato beef chow mein and mu shu pork. Lots of leftovers to take home. Can’t find tomato beef in Seattle for some reason. An SF thing?

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
