"While visiting from Philadelphia, my family and I planned a meal with friends at this establishment. Our reservation was made with great anticipation and high hopes for amazing sushi. We were disappointed from the arrival of the appetizers until the check was dropped at the end of the meal. The food was clearly not fresh and was nothing like we expected it to be. In addition to the poor food, the service was equally as poor. The server was present only to deliver food and drinks and then at the end of the meal to drop the bill. She never cleared our appetizer plates and never bothered with the dirty dinner plates. She didn’t even bother to bring a pitcher of water to refill our glasses that were empty. Needless to say our local friends will not be back and neither will we!!! I really hope this place gets its act together."

We sat outside and it was lovely. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. The chef even came to our table to chat with us and ask how everything was. I will definitely go back.

This place was great! We really enjoyed the food. even my picky kids lol. The manager and chef stopped by and asked how we were and if everything was to our liking. Thats great customer service!

We sat at the bar. Bartender also had other tables in the restaurant so she was not really interested in us. She was more concerned with telling other employees that her boyfriend and her were on a break from there relationship. View menu

There was only one other customer dining while we were there. It took half-hour to receive dinner. Our chicken was over cooked. Too dry even though in a sauce. Fried rice had very little taste. This was our first and last time that will go to Eighty 8.

Food is great! We go here a couple times per week. Sushi is the best I have found and every one of their meals are excellent. The owner really cares and takes the extra time to make sure that everything is just right. I would highly recommend going and you will keep coming back!

I had family in town and made a reservation at eighty8. Our table was ready and completely set up upon arrival. We did a family style dinner, we tried some of the maki rolls, which were larger than expected and Buy One Get One Free as well ad 4 entrees. We had plenty of food and it was all delicious. View menu

a little disappointed overall! my wife loved her spicy shrimp, but my sushi sashimi entree had a bad choice of fish, although it was very fresh. it was formed with all cheap cuts of thunfish, no salmon and a small piece of makrelen. the ingwer dressing on the salat lacked taste. our weinrefill was a different and cheaper pour so we rejected it and had to ask for our original choice. I had to ask three times enough to do boxes. they would have thought they were gold.

I always love the food at Eighty 8 and this time was spot on for flavor! The only reason this visit did not get full stars was the service was slow and not very attentive and the time it took to get food was VERY slow this trip. We spent over 1.5 hours there for lunch. There were only a few tables in for lunch, so not sure what the delay was. The sesame chicken was excellent and the miso soup was very good too. Tried the calamari which was very different garnishes and done in a panko-like breading, but was very nice large pieces that were not tough at all. Since the food was great, will definitely be back again in hopes of better service and faster turn-around time for food.
