"Once the queso arrived, we ordered our main courses, but that's when things took a turn. The queso tasted strange—almost mustard-like—and was nowhere near the creamy thickness we expected. Instead, it felt diluted with water and flour, leaving it unappetizing. I had hoped to dip my flautas in it, but as a cheese lover, I couldn't bring myself to do that. My friend ordered nachos and became concerned that the queso would ruin them as well. We decided to speak with our waitress, who was truly fantastic and the highlight of our experience. To ensure she didn’t think our dissatisfaction was her fault, we pretended we were in a hurry to leave— which, in truth, was accurate since we had been traveling for two days. Considering how close we were to the border, we expected the Mexican food here would be a great option, but we were disappointed. Fortunately, our wonderful waitress let us leave without charging us for anything (drinks, chips, salsa, or queso). It seemed like she was handling the entire restaurant on her own. Although the building itself is large with plenty of space, only a small section was open for customers. I wonder if this impacts the food's quality, but ultimately, I cannot recommend this place, aside from praising the service. Proceed with caution."

Enchiladas tasted like a frozen tv dinner with crunchy rice...maybe worse. 2.50 for chip refill that wasn't a full plate to begin with. Tea taste like a cleaning solution. Biggest disappointment was the queso... I'm not sure what it is but it definitely was NOT any queso I've ever had nor did it even come close to tasting like queso... Was more like gravy instead. The food was excellent, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend the Enchilada Plate for lunch; it was delicious and satisfying. For dessert, the cheesecake was also a standout and added a perfect sweet ending to the meal. The service was top-notch, receiving a perfect score of 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. As for the atmosphere, it was lovely, also scoring a 5.
