El Colombiano - Menu

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food, service, and prices are all excellent. I absolutely love it. Food rating: 5/5.

First time here. Food was delicious. Our server Maria was courteous, great and friendly. She was very attentive. Definitely will come back.

I believe it’s where a lot of community come to, to eat. Price of food is excellent. Can go anywhere from inexpensive to expensive. The weight staff was amazing. Hopefully I will get some photos next time. Worth checking it out. View menu

This great little restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel in Weston and came highly recommended by its front desk staff. I can see why. The food was amazingly authentic, very fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly and professional. And the place was immaculately clean, not fancy but bright and fun with great music.

I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if you can. The food is quite greasy, and I would rate the quality of the food at 7/10. However, the service was disappointing, with a rating of 3/10 due to the disorganization and delays. The waitress informed us that, per management's instruction, tipping is not optional but rather mandatory, with a minimum of 18%. It's unfortunate that this restaurant seems to bring over some questionable practices from Colombia.

This was our first visit to El Colombiano, and we had lunch there today around 1:30 PM. The place was not crowded, and we were greeted and seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly! Our menus, cutlery, and drinks arrived promptly. They offer a wonderful selection of fresh food, and the portions were generous—enough for leftovers later! The food was outstanding! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I ordered a bandeja paisa, and the portion was larger than I expected, which was perfect for me since I'm a foodie. My dad had the lengua, which was packed with flavor and delicious. My mom chose the mondongo, and it was exactly what she had been craving for months. Our server, Johanna, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very friendly and quick to help with anything. This is definitely a great spot to enjoy Colombian cuisine!

I’ve been ordering from El Colombiano for years, but lately, the quality of the food has declined, and with rising prices, it’s not a good combination. It's really unfortunate because it used to be the best Colombian food around. The bandeja paisa has become incredibly expensive, and today’s frijoles were lackluster—they tasted watered down. The chicharrón had the flavor of being fried in old, burned oil, and the ground beef was under-seasoned. I’m feeling quite disappointed but will give them another chance next week for a possible redemption. On the bright side, the service has always been good, and that hasn’t changed.

The food at this establishment is typical Colombian cuisine, but nothing stands out as exceptional. Unfortunately, the service is even more disappointing. The manager or owner is unfriendly and quite rude to customers, particularly those who don’t speak Spanish. When you inquire about the menu or meal pairings, you are often treated poorly. Additionally, if you appear African American, the service drops significantly, and I've even overheard negative comments about customers being made in Spanish in the kitchen. They have never expressed gratitude for patrons coming in. It’s important for everyone to feel welcomed, and they are making it difficult for us to support small businesses. View menu
