"Not sure what all these bad reviews are about. I’ve been here twice and my husband has been three times and we’ve never had an issue! Mel’s has excellent food, great customer service and we’ve never waited more than a couple minutes for our food. Yes, they are a bit pricey but so are a lot of places. It is definitely worth it and we will most certainly be back! Brought my grandparents here about a month and a half ago and my grandfather is old fashion and picky about where he eats and doesn’t like too many burger places anymore. However, he liked Mel’s so much he asked when we could come back (my grandparents live in Keller by the way and would be willing to make the drive back to Boyd just to eat here! That’s saying something! Keep up the awesome work you guys!"

"This charming little restaurant is nestled in a storefront in Boyd, TX. There is plenty of street parking available, along with additional spaces nearby. The establishment is neat and tidy, although it does show some signs of frequent use. The restrooms are clean but quite small, so keep that in mind during your visit. Be prepared for a wait on busy evenings! Our server was both friendly and knowledgeable, which really enhanced our dining experience. Although the menu is somewhat limited, the selections are impressive. The food was absolutely outstanding! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the Alfredo sauce was fantastic. The standout dishes included the Redfish Pontchartrain and crab-stuffed shrimp. While prices are slightly higher compared to those in a small Texas town, the quality of the food justifies the cost. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant—it's definitely worth a visit!"

"For a tiny little Mexican food restaurant tucked away down 114 in the country, Dos Chiles Grandes absolutely blew me away. The last time I had eaten Mexican food beforehand was at a place in Azle and it was absolutely awful and although I knew this place had to be at least a little bit better, it exceeded all of mine and my girlfriend's expectations. All of the hostesses and waitresses were so friendly and attentive, and the food came out looking fantastic and tasting equally as fantastic. After all this time, I may have finally found the best Mexican restaurant in town. We will absolutely be back!"

"The highlight of my visit was the spicy pasta salad, which is unfortunate considering we're in Texas, a place known for its BBQ. The brisket was sliced incredibly thin, about 1/16 of an inch, and it was so dry that it felt like eating soft jerky. The jalapeño sausage had a decent flavor, but somehow it was also dry. The fresh hand-cut fries could have been enjoyable if they hadn't been overloaded with salt. Being in the South, I expected the ranch dressing to taste like ranch, but it was more like a cup of sour cream with a sprinkle of ranch seasoning mixed in. The fried okra was also off. On the bright side, the sweet tea was good. You might want to avoid this place; it's set up like a cafeteria, but it's tough to figure out what will be the least disappointing option. To top it off, the pickle and onion bar on the side looked like it could be overrun by gnats buzzing around the uncovered containers of condiments."

"Best BBQ well food in the county, Owner will go out of his way to check on you while eating and cant beat the prices, Wife and I eat here 4 to 5 times a week and I recommend Cowboys BBQ to everyone. My mother and her friends drive from a whole other county just to eat here and take food home. Amazing place to eat and amazing staff."
