"I am very surprised by all the positive reviews. Our service was great, and took my review to 2 stars, but the positives ended there. We went out for a girls lunch and drinks, all of us ordered carne asada street tacos and they were seriously lacking in flavor and even the rice beans were bland. Tap water tasted gross and warm, even with ice. Our corona-Rita’s were very weak and tasted like dirty water as well (maybe something wrong with the ice machine). A friend ordered a frozen cocktail, and it only tasted like plain shaved ice. I know there’s slim options for Mexican food in our area, but I would not choose El Ranchero over others again. It was so disappointing to have spent money on that. ?"

The crispy chicken tacos are consistently delicious, and the chips and salsa are the best around.

We’ve eaten here 3 times. The food is great, but the service is not. We walked out today after sitting for 20+ minutes waiting to have someone take our order. View menu

Ordered some tacos ???? and was not disappointed. I was not hungry but they sure did disappear fast. I will be coming here again. Also forgot to mention the service was pretty darn good every couple of minutes we would be checked up on to see if weneeded anything.

We ordered takeout, and while they might be better for dining in, I won't be giving that a try. The portions were quite laughable. For $15, the carne asada came on a large tray, but it turned out to be misleading. There were just a few small strips of steak that were very salty but otherwise bland, accompanied by rice and beans spread so thinly that it created the illusion of more food. Both of our meals arrived cold, which was extremely disappointing. View menu

After a soccer game, we decided to try this restaurant, and we were incredibly impressed by both the food quality and the generous portions! The chips were thin and perfectly crispy. Our group ordered carne asada, steak fajitas, carnitas, a kids' chicken burrito, and a carnitas burrito. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was attentive, making sure our drinks were always full and suggesting an amazing dessert. This place definitely deserves a five-star rating!

Under normal circumstances, I would give this restaurant a perfect score of 10. I truly enjoy the food, and the service is usually outstanding. However, my experience this morning was quite different. The waitress appeared overwhelmed and had a rather negative demeanor. She was abrupt, dropped off my food without any silverware, and ignored my request for utensils. The two staff members present weren't very welcoming, and I wasn't alone in my feelings; the customers behind me had an even worse experience when salsa was spilled all over them. I typically dine here three times a week, but after this visit, I'm beginning to reconsider whether I will return.

"Recently I made the unfortunate decision to visit the White House Grill for dinner. I made this choice after reading many positive reviews. I myself had driven by the restaurant growing up, and always wanted to try it. Upon being seated, I began to have doubts as the lighting and decor were in poor taste and the overall atmosphere was dingy and dark. We started with French onion soup, Fried Lamb meatballs and the Sarmisak dip. Of which the meatballs were burnt and the soup was tasteless. The baguettes that came with the dip were as hard as rock, thank goodness we asked for half pita bread. Things were not off to a good start. We then ordered the Mixed grill and Chicken Rome entrees. What we experienced as disappointment in the appetizers turned into disgust as our entrees were on another level of terrible. The shrimp in the mixed grill were as rubber, the lamb was dry and the fish was underwhelming. The Chicken Rome was so overcooked it was inedible. Both entrees came with a side of asparagus that was so drenched in oil and oversalted they were not fit for human consumption. At this point we hoped against hope that the dessert at least could perhaps save the night. Never were we so disappointed. What should have been the culmination of a good dinner was just another nail in the coffin of our experience. The baklava looked as if it was thrown onto the plate, the small square of pastry was not even centered on the dish, with crumbs and oil drops all over. The first bite revealed it be old, as oil was pooling around the base, and the top layer came off altogether when I tried to take a bite. It was stale. After making this attempt at a good night out we were wholly disheartened by our experience and our fallen hopes. This has been by far the worst restaurant experience I have endured in the Post Falls/CDA area. I will not be returning. I would also highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting this establishment not to waste their time or money."
