"Everyone is always down for some authentic mexican cuisine for dinner, if this is what you 're looking for, I recommend you go somewhere else. My first impression walking through the door at Ranchero was a hostess that had her headphones in, dirty floors, finger printed windows, and a slight smell of sewage once sat at our table, but was pleasantly delighted to receive complimentary chips and salsa. Our server had no name tag, a dirty apron, and it seemed no one was in an actual uniform. Our server wore a black Adidas shirt backwards and a stained apron. I was not expecting a high class dining experience due to the title bar and grill but I expected a clean dining room with neatly dressed staff. Halfway through our visit, a man started power washing the windows, and I noticed the windows were leaking as water started to drip next to me, this is a very inappropriate time during service to start power washing windows if you ask me. Next we get into the food. The menu has more pages than the Bible, and it 's hard to decide what you want to eat, a bulk of the items include the term favorite next to it, but I believe this is a flaw due to the fact that almost everything on the burritos category is marked as favorite . I got the create your own 3 combo with a steak burrito , a taco, and grilled chicken enchilada served alongside rice and beans. The burrito was more of a taco more than the taco was. Upon the food arriving, I received steak bits wrapped in a tortilla with some sauce on top, a cold hard shell taco minimally prepared, and a corn tortilla with some chicken in it. I 'm not a picky guy, but this is just not what presented to us on the menu. A burrito is much more than just a meat stuffed tortilla, clearly someone didn 't get the memo here. Our server dropped off the food and didn 't speak to us for 20 minutes until she slammed the check on our table and said thank you for coming in. This is not hospitable, it gives the impression that we are being rushed out. Lastly, I went to the restroom after my meal to find it also smelled very heavily of sewage and it had paper towels sprawled all over the floor as well as vulgar remarks etched into the mirror. Overall I will have to give my experience here at Ranchero a solid 4/10, this is not the type of place I would want to go back to, but it wasn 't absolutely terrible. A few things need to be nit picked via management and the ownership to get this restaurant on its way to being grand. I do not write these reviews to be mean, or to harm a restaurants reputation, I write them to hopefully get through to the establishments and enact real change to make their business more hospitable and to give a better dining experience. Anyways, if you 've read this far, thank you for reading and stay hungry friends :"

The food was outstanding, and the service was superb. We dined al fresco, and it made for a perfect meal. The portion sizes were quite generous as well.

Food was pretty good! However i ordered a quesadilla, however it was more like a taco, very small which was unfortunate. Other than that service was good and food was tasty

Pretty good. My favorite Mexican dish is Chili Colorado. The sauce in the south is different from the west which I prefer so docked them a star for that but that’s just my opinion. If I ever make it back here I’ll try their fajitas. I’m sure I’ll give them 5 stars next time. View menu

The food here is absolutely delicious, though the service leaves something to be desired. It can get a bit noisy, but the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. I attempted to book a space for a party, but unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned. Despite that, when it comes to great Mexican cuisine, this is our go-to spot.

Food is good, I haven't adventured outside of the tacos being it's my second time being here. Service is okay; although some of the servers look like they don't want to be there. I wanted the birria tacos to be more flavorful than they were but you get a nice portion. My cousin brings home the grilled chicken tacos, which are delicious that's why I came here for lunch.

The good: Some of the best chips I've had in a Mexican restaurant; light and crisp, and the salsa was very good too. The prices are very reasonable and service was very good. The bad: While the Tex-Mex style of cooking was to be expected, the greasy fajitas weren't. It appeared the meat was sautéed in a pan with butter as opposed to being cooking in an iron skillet over high heat. No charring, just a buttery grease. No thanks. The ugly: The bathroom area smelled like a port-o-let on an August day in Mobile. View menu

I don't have anything good to say about this place. The food caused me a severe stomach ache. The service and kitchen were incredibly slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. The carnitas were completely flavorless, and the salsa—something that should be hard to get wrong—tasted like diluted tomato sauce with a bit of onion mixed in. It seems like this restaurant relies solely on first-time customers who are drawn in by the appealing patio. I really can't see anyone wanting to come back to this disappointing establishment.

This is my second visit here. Definitely a Tex-Mex as opposed to authentic Mexican restaurant. I was greeted and seated immediately. Out first seat was near a window with a booth but the blinds we're so dusty and windows dirty that we requested to move. The next booth had ants. We stayed because of the high recommendation. The third booth was suitable. The drinks were but 1 get 1 half off on Sunday. So I ordered a Texas margaritas. They were ok. I ordered the Texas fajitas which was a combination of chicken, steak and shrimp. My guests order the steak quesadillas which she devoured and the last was a number 26 along with three beef tacos and he loved his foid too. Overall the food and servic...

"So. I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday at the recommendation of a local patron who also accompanied me and assured me from his past experiences that this was a fantastic food experience/establishment. To start of I will say the owner who greeted us was very nice and accommodating as well as most of the staff. However the food left something to be heavily desired. I started with the tomato caprese salad. The tomato was not yet ripe at all to be served also the amount of oil that was on this plate pretty much was drowning the mozzarella and tomato. I ordered the mushroom ravioli for my mains ,and this was where things completely ruined the whole dinner. The whole dish was sweet. I have had mushroom ravioli at other establishments ,and one thing I can conclude is that nothing about that dish should be that sweet. I mean form the sauce to the balsamic to the mushroom. The whole dish was sweet and not savory at all. It blew my mind that pasta could taste that sweet. I couldn 't stand to eat anymore then a few bites, and my companion who is a regular patron of this establishment had the rest of pasta ,and even he concluded this was the worst dish that he has had from here. I tired giving them one more chance with the dessert ,and had the best north of Miami key lime pie. The pie was actually fairly decent. The filling could have been more firm and the pie crust as well, however that can be overlooked understandably as I am presuming the desserts are not made on a daily basis. Here is where this bad dinner went to go on and become a horrible night and following day. Not even 5 minutes after leaving the restaurant I began sweating profusely ,and requested for the car to be pulled over. I immediately threw up for the next 5 minutes. I dropped of my friend back to his place and went on to my hour drive back home. As soon as I got back home I threw up once again in my driveway. That night my stomach and bowels were so messed up I managed only 3 hours of sleep. Will not be coming back ever."
