"This restaurant is hands down one of the best taco places I have ever been to, possibly even the best in the world. I have tried over 10 taquerias in Mexico City, and this place surpasses them all. The "Happy Taco" is outstanding and has everything I never knew I needed in a taco. It is seriously the best taco I have ever had. My wife and I also loved the carne asada and rib eye tacos, which were the best we have ever tasted. The al pastor tacos are also top-notch. Their salsas are absolutely delicious as well. We have been here countless times and I am thrilled that they have survived through Covid."

Freshest, tastiest and most delicious Mexican food in the area. This isn't your basic taqueria the quality and care is consistently here. We've been going here for years and the quality has never dropped. Super tasty tacos, generous portions. The outside seating is cute. Love this place. View menu

I really enjoy this restaurant. My daughter had 2 chicken tacos, while I ordered a burrito al pastor. I would definitely come back here if I were in this area of Chicago again. The red sauce on my burrito was delicious, and my daughter only added a slice of lime to her tacos. She said she would order them again.

3/5 I told them I didn’t want certain ingredients on my taco and they put it there anyways (second time) and since I order my food to go there’s no way to rectify this. Updating my review: I went back and ordered the steak burrito with no sour cream to go and huzzah! The taquero honored my request. Adding a star to make it 4/5

Although we live a 45-minute drive away, the food at this restaurant is definitely worth the trip. My husband enjoyed the steak burrito while I savored the shrimp tacos and coconut horchata. The staff are all very friendly and the food is always freshly prepared. We've decided that this will be our new go-to spot for date nights. View menu

I recently tried a new taco place on the Northside and I have to say, it's the best one I've been to in the area. It's a small, hole-in-the-wall type of place with limited indoor seating, just a few stools by the window. In the summer, there are picnic tables outside which are great for dining. Just a heads up, they only accept cash unless that has changed recently.

I have found my new favorite taco spot in this hidden gem. They use high-quality, fresh ingredients with a variety of meat and vegetable options, including shrimp and fish, all cooked on the grill with a beautiful smoky aroma. The fresh guacamole is the best I've had. The service is very friendly and the prices are affordable. They also have a lovely small outdoor terrace. The only downside is that they only accept cash payments.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
