El Toro Mexican - Menu

The food and service are consistently excellent. I usually order the fajita enchiladas or the chicken crema enchiladas, and both are absolutely delicious. The chips are thin and warm, and they're perfectly complemented by the red and green salsas.

Service was really good, restaurant pretty clean. All the staff is friendly and acknowledges everyone. Food was really good, forgot to take the picture tho.. only reason I rate 4 stars, I think the price is a little high for the portion being served.

Definitely not what it used to be. All low quality ingredients. Packaged tortillas, hard chicken fajitas or maybe just over cooked, even the green salsa doesn't taste like it used to. Won't return and won't be ordering for catering either. Sorry El Toro but you guys used to be better. View menu

The food is more well seasoned than many other tex Mex places. It was really good! One item on my mixed plate was tamale. This place actually had the right ratio. Lots of filling and smaller masa. So many places have thick masa with a thin streak offilling. Not here. It was delicious! I will be back.

I came here years ago and it was delicious but today 7/31/23 for lunch ot sucked! The service was good. The food came out luke warm, the chicken fajita was tasteless. The rice was salty. I told the server about the food and I think they just stuck it in the microwave and brought it back out..... Zero fresh and the shirmp smelled funny. Hopefully we don't get sick......

I visited this restaurant to try some Mexican cuisine, but it turned out to be more Tex-Mex, as they refer to it. It wasn't bad at all, though it was definitely different from the traditional Mexican food I'm used to. Overall, it was quite enjoyable. The street corn was absolutely outstanding! I tried the Monterrey dish, and it was very flavorful—definitely a generous portion. Whenever I go to La Porte for a visit I have to stop to The Bull! El Toro is a La Porte staple. The Ybarra family has been serving fresh tex-mex here for years and we totally appreciate it. Great place to meet friends,family or have a business lunch for those area contractors. Service is A1 always. I had the pleasure of Alyssa being my server last visit and actually I sat in her station on another visit she is very attentive and pleasant. I took my friend there 07/09.we sat down we ordered drinks.a friend wanted a taco . One beef taco with pico sour cream and queso. The waiter says it will ge 10.00 for that 1 i thought kinda pricey but i was treating my friends. So i agreed. But by the time they where done with me that one taco was 17.98 because of the little side of queso and sour cream pico. So i asked for the manager on duty.he could have fixed it tgen and there. But continued to tell me they used grade A meat to make that one taco and that was what he was charging me.then he comes back a few minutes later and offers a 10 dollar coupon for next time.im really thinking and you think im gonna come back for a 17.98 beef taco...
