"We like to head out for Sunday brunch occasionally and Brunch Cafe in Fox River Grove is our normal go-to place. Of course the line was out the door there so we decided to try someplace new. Found JC's Cafe a few miles away with 5 star average yelp rating so we went straight away. It's conveniently located on the corner by the tracks. When you first walk in there is a vestibule type room before you walk in to the restaurant part. It took a minute to get my bearings when we walked into the restaurant area both because I had never been there before and also because the lighting is very low. There put burlap bags over the light fixtures which is kinda cool but also made it a bit dark. We were promptly greeted and offered a menu and a table. This place is cozy small). There are only 3 or 4 tables. I was craving an omelet or something similar so I was a bit disappointed that the only eggs were in a panini sandwich. The reviews I looked at briefly before we got there raved about the paninis so I ordered the egg and turkey one. Husband ordered the turkey and bacon with chipotle aioli. The menu is limited which makes sense for a small place making food from scratch. They had a special today of tacos that I wished now that I had tried instead. But I had breakfast on the brain. The cup of coffee I had was really good! 5 stars. This is a family run business and I overheard the owner talking to the other table that his wife does the cooking and our server was his oldest child. Another son about 4 yr or so was milling about and had a tendency to stomp his feet around as kids will do and that was kind of annoying to be honest. Our sandwiches arrived. My husband really liked his. He said the chipotle aioli gave it a nice flavor and good heat. The bread/bun was different than other paninis I've had. It was a cross between a croissant and a bun. I'm not a fan of croissants because they come across as greasy due to the fat content. Plus I usually prefer a healthier bread choice. Ruffles type potato chips were served with the sandwiches. I nearly never eat potato chips because I consider them a sinful but empty/poor nutrient food. Of course I ate every one of them since they were there : For me this is probably not someplace I will frequent due to the limited menu and lack of healthy options."

"My husband wanted to try a new breakfast spot instead of our usual one. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared busy, but we were informed that there would only be a five-minute wait. A friendly hostess seated us, but our server seemed somewhat irritated when she came to take our order. There was a significant delay between when we ordered and when we finally received our food. In fact, customers who arrived after us were served before we were. While I understand that prices have gone up, I don’t believe the quality of the food and service justified the cost. Furthermore, the payment system really needs improvement; it caused a bottleneck with customers waiting to pay, picking up orders, and trying to enter or exit all in the same cramped area."

"Yesterday, I ordered a Reuben and was disappointed. The corned beef was tough and hard to chew, and the sauerkraut—or the sauce, I couldn’t quite tell—was overwhelmingly sweet in an unpleasant way. However, I decided to give them another chance today, and they definitely redeemed themselves. I had mozzarella sticks and a customized fried chicken bacon sandwich. The portion size was generous for the price, and I couldn’t even finish my sandwich. The fried chicken patty was juicy, the bacon cooked perfectly, and the pepperoncini feta spread really tied the sandwich together—I highly recommend asking for extra spread. The mozzarella sticks were fried to perfection, and the marinara sauce was excellent; I didn’t even need to order extra dipping sauce! Fast delivery and great prices!"

"Filipino-owned! Represent! We've only ordered ramen here, but have been really excited about the quality and flavors. This is the best ramen in the area. I have had the Garlic Bomb Ramen, and it did not disappoint. Any garlic lovers out there will appreciate the balance of the different types of garlic that permeate in every bite. I added a bit of spice to kick up the flavors another notch. I would get this again, but I need to try the other flavors first. My son got the Tonkotsu Ramen and was blown away by the flavors. He's not usually a broth drinker, but he made the exception here! We haven't had the chance to dine in here yet, but based on our multiple experiences over the phone, online, and in the pick up process, everyone has been helpful and kind. When we do get a chance to sit down, we'll make sure to come early, because the dining room here is always full! I highly recommend RamenDoBo and I'm confident you'll love it once to give it a try."

"It's a nice Italian restaurant. The ambience of it, is good. My only complaints... A little steep on prices, per portions being to small. Otherwise, the garlic bisk was excellent, the frutti di Mera was good bigger portions needed. TheTiramisu was good, but that definitely needs to be a bigger piece. Bread and olives... Excellent. Suggestion, Italian herbs with the olive oil or balsamic vinegar or both. Other than these minor adjustments, you rank up there with Jameson Charhouse. Another good find, if you happen to be in Cary, IL."
