"**March 2021:** I visited again for lunch and dessert. Starting March 10th, the restaurant will continue to implement safety measures related to the virus, but wearing masks will be optional for customers. Patrons will still have the choice to wear masks if they wish. **February 2021:** We celebrated our first vaccine shot with a sweet treat at this restaurant. It has remained open for indoor dining since July 2020, and they've taken numerous precautions to reduce virus transmission—check out the new photos! We enjoyed a delicious lunch, sharing a sandwich and a small cup of soup. Everything was prepared wonderfully. **Earlier in 2020:** Hooray! We originally came for dessert but ended up staying for lunch—take a look at the photos. They have resumed indoor dining, which is fantastic. There is plenty of space between the tables, the staff wear masks, hand sanitizer is readily available at the entrance, and there is a clear one-way entry and exit system. They are managing things very well during the pandemic, and the food remains excellent. I can't wait to go back!"

I ordered the cilantro chicken wrap with German potato salad, and assorted cookies. I am already sick from eating it at lunch today. This is especially dangerous for me as I am pregnant. I will not eat here again and suggest you don't either unless youwant to be by a toilet all day.

Elke's provided catering for a small family luncheon following our daughter's wedding. We chose the chipotle pork tenderloin with ginger habanero sauce, cilantro rice, fiesta corn casserole, and a green salad with cilantro ranch dressing. The food was outstanding, and the portions were quite generous. Everyone had compliments about the meal! View menu

I absolutely love this café! It has a laid-back atmosphere, just what you’d expect from a casual dining spot. However, the food is exceptional! I always choose the Elke’s Nutty Creation sandwich, which perfectly balances sweet and savory flavors with a delightful little kick. Even though I don’t live close by, it’s definitely worth the journey!

Like wine? Try their monthly wine tastings. Kim does a fabulous job introducing incredible and affordable wines. I always learn so much from her! They also offer small bites and dinners during the wine tastings. I had a small welcome party for mydaughter's return to the USA and Kim and her husband made charcuterie boards that were real crowd pleasers!

"On our last night visiting our kids (we live in Michigan-they live in Texas), we chose lazy dog. There was no waiting, we were seated right away. I was truly impressed with the interior decor. The birch looking trees by the concierge lent an air of nature. The metal dog sculptures were pretty awesome. I loved the beams in the high ceiling, very cool and I am inspired to create something similar in my own home. The fireplace wall was awesome, huge and the deer head mounted on it was unique and fitting. The restaurant was clean and spacious, easy to see from the road. Our waitress was Margaret and she was very friendly, knowledgeable seemed happy to be there. She brought our drinks right away. My son enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut. He raved about how good it was. The rest of us were slightly disappointed. IMO, the lazy dog takes the usual menu offerings but puts their on twist on it. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just didn’t meet our expectations. The queso was orange cheese with a different flavor-not bad, but not what we were expecting either. My daughter got the fried chicken meal. The seasoning in the breading was, different, unusual. Four of us tried it, the only one that really enjoyed it was my son. I got the pot roast beef dip. That was good and tasty. Both I and my daughter enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings didn’t have much taste and I found them unremarkable. Hubbs got the cheeseburger which he liked and my acquired daughter got the all American burger which she liked. The portions of food were generous, but I felt the prices were high. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but it is not going on my “must return” or favorite lists."
