"Although I had heard of this restaurant before, I stumbled upon it by chance today. Upon entering, I was greeted right away and shown to my table. The server was very friendly and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that meals included three sides. I chose yams, greens, and mac and cheese. All of them were quite tasty, although the greens were slightly salty. I crumbled the sweet corn muffin into them, and that balanced the flavors nicely. For my entree, I ordered the fried chicken, which wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, and the breast was a bit dry. The fried chicken dinner included three pieces of your choice, with an extra charge for all-white meat. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and received great service… I’ll definitely be back."

First restaurant I went to when I got to Vegas. Not the first time here, but again, when I come here the food never disappoints. Had the fried Red Snapper with Potato Salad and Macaroni and Cheese and everything was hot delicious.

I sat outside the restaurant for about five minutes reading reviews, feeling hesitant about going in. Eventually, I decided to give it a shot. I've wanted to try this place for a while, but I never made it inside until now. I really enjoyed the food and have no complaints. I’ll definitely be back soon!

My brother, his girlfriend, and daughter, took me here for my birthday lunch. Me and my brother ordered the oxtails, while his girlfriend and daughter, ordered the catfish. All our meals came with 3 different side dishes which is awesome. The meal was a little pricey, but I think it was all worth it in the end. The meal was very delicious. Would recommend and return. I was invited to some soul food but it wasn't what I expected the chicken wasn't seasoned well , the Mac was different from what I'm use to and the greens had a spicy taste to them , but the corn bread was the best . The server was all over the place , we asked for water it took sometime, we were still eating and the server was ready for use too leave because Alot of people came in after church, I loved the memories of the original owner but sad to say my Mississippi Mom got them beat...

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food and service were outstanding, and I can’t wait to return. The flavors were spot on. I ordered the oxtail with greens and black-eyed peas, all of which were seasoned to perfection. My husband tried the pork chops, which were incredibly tender and flavorful as well. This is by far the best soul food I’ve found in Vegas! A special shoutout to my son and daughter-in-law for introducing us to this gem—they rave about it, and now I completely understand why. I'm officially in love with this place!

I www craving some good old soul food and hubby took me to Ella Emma’s and I was not disappointed. The sign clearly says that food is prepared on order so please be patient! It was worth the wait. The food was amazing and Allen(I hope I spelt your name correctly) was a sweetheart. They took care of us and always made sure we were good. I seen another table who was giving them a hard time however they handled it with great customer service and the fact they weren’t left a tip but left a mess was so disappointing. It is not easy especially in the food business but I commend them for staying professional. Definitely going back!! THANK you Allen. See you soon sweetie View menu

The food was horrible. Everything tasted like salt only. The dressing didn't taste like dressing and had a think mashed potato texture. I had to spit it out. The Mac n cheese was very dry, salty and bitter. The collard greens were way too salty and dry. The pork chops, black eyed peas and cabbage were a little moist, but tasted like salt. The yams were whipped sweet potatoes and didn't have any flavor. The red beans and rice taste like Bush's baked beans over rice. The red snapper was hard and dry. The gravy was the best thing I've tasted, it wasn't all that great. I suggest ease up on the salt, and use other Seasonings such as onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, adobe, vegetable, chicken...

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
