"I was driving with my tires from Discount Tire when I spotted some fireworks in the distance. I couldn't help but wonder if Firehouse Subs is still overpriced, and as I passed Sonic, I remembered it usually isn't great. After visiting the Firehouse Subs, I have to say that their prices are actually quite reasonable, though they still end up being as expensive as during my previous three visits in the last decade. I won't say I won't return; it wasn't a terrible experience by any means. However, I don’t think spending $15 for a single lunch is the best choice. Given my history with this place, I might give it another try in 2025—assuming we’re all still around—and I’ll share my thoughts then."

Pretty darn good subs! I eat here a couple of times a month and usually get the Italian or the Steak Cheese! The only reason for 4 stars is the making of the sandwiches is a little slow., but worth the wait for great tasting subs.

Very very rude. They did not have tea or meatballs. The only saving grace was the nice manager. The employees kept giving me dirty looks like it was my fault the did not have the stuff together. I also forgot to mention the 3big bosses sitting on therebutt when all this was going on. One man even made eye contact with me after I got done talking to the manager.

Duane at the counter was amazing. So helpful and friendly. Helped with our options, stopped by our table to see how we liked our choice, cleared our table and even held the door as we left. Not many people like him. Food was really good. Had the steak sub and tasted the Jamaican jerk sub. Both were awesome. Can?t go wrong with either. Plan on returning. Try if you have only driven by.

The service was quite rude. They didn’t have any tea or meatballs available. The only positive aspect was the pleasant manager. However, the staff frequently gave me dirty looks, as if the unavailable items were my fault. I also neglected to mention that three higher-ups were present at the time, although they didn’t intervene during the situation. At one point, a man caught my eye after having a conversation with the manager. View menu

The food was excellent and served in a timely manner. It was a bit unusual not to hear the familiar welcome chorus from the employees, which has always been a signature of Firehouse Subs. I haven't encountered it at either of the Vancouver locations we've visited so far, and I hope they bring it back, as it always made the atmosphere feel more inviting and friendly. Everything was clean and well-organized, and the drink machine was impeccably maintained as well.

My family and I stopped in for dinner tonight and all six of the workers were too busy talking and 'hanging out ' to realize they dropped our slip on the floor and didn 't make our three sandwiches. We were the only guests for this entire time. When I asked the manager I was told whoops and said it will be a few more minutes. I requested my money back and was told it will take TWO WEEKS. What a joke, we sat there for 30+ minutes and paid just under $50 bucks for three sandwiches....Not happy

I used to enjoy dining at the firehouse with my wife and mother-in-law, and it had always been a favorite of ours. Recently, I decided to take my son there, thinking it would be a treat. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a mistake. We both ordered steak and cheese sandwiches, and they were among the worst I've ever had. They were slathered with way too much mayonnaise and just a messy, flavorless disappointment. The presentation was unappealing, and the taste did not help either. If this had been my first experience, I wouldn't recommend the place based on that sandwich alone. As for my son, he prefers Subway over this. View menu

I changed my tires at Discount Tires and noticed fireworks in the distance. I wondered if Firehouse Subs was still overpriced and briefly thought about passing by Sonic, which I knew wouldn't be great. After visiting Firehouse Subs, I can say that their prices are actually quite reasonable, though they're still as pricey as the last three times I’ve been in the past ten years. I can't say I won’t return; my experience wasn’t bad, just not the best way to spend $15 on lunch for one person. Assuming my trend of not eating there continues, I’ll give it another shot in 2025—if humanity is still around—and I’ll report back then.

I recently visited a restaurant that I've always enjoyed, having dined there multiple times with my wife and mother-in-law. I thought it would be a great choice to take my son this time, but it turned out to be a mistake. We both ordered steak and cheese subs, and they were among the worst sandwiches I've ever had. They were slathered in way too much mayonnaise and had an unappealing and messy presentation. The flavor was bland and uninviting. If this had been my first experience at the restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it based on this sandwich alone. I might consider going back in the future, but for now, my son is sticking with Subway.
