"Oh no... another one of my favorite go-tos seems to have gone off the rails. I'm not sure what happened, a friend said they were bought out by Popeyes. My 2 starrating is in comparison to how it was before.. 5 star all the way. They have changed that soft, delicious bread to a crustier style (think Subway . I always get the Engineer. When I got it today it seemed to have a heap of some weird sauce on it (horseradish? , and it 100% was nowhere near as delicious. Please go back to the way it was. I hate to see another restaurant make such a mistake."

Looking for something OTHER THAN all the traditional subs, try the potato soup. Skip the Mac cheese.

Sunday noon before the church crowd arrived. Good sandwich, fast service. Parking lot is tiny, easier to park at Lowes. Looking out the front window looks smokey, we finally realized it was the windows. #VickieTravelz

I ordered the New York steamer from Firehouse subs in Waldorf Maryland and the pastrami was so tough I couldn't even bite into it. I have ordered this so many many times in Florida I've never had a problem. This is a FYI so you don't get any more complaints

Avoid this location like the plague! Hot, dirty store with flies. Overpriced for the quality as well. The employees do not give one flying **** either. I do not have this problem at the other locations so I will not return to this one. Hopefully the health department goes in soon! View menu

So disappointed. Ordered around 5:20pm. Sub delivered at 6:40pm. Left on ground, bag open. Ordered cold turkey sub with crispy Bacon. Received warmed sub with limp bacon. Not cut in the middle. Whole wheat bread had bad taste. Sub was poorly put together. Why? If you didn't have the time to put it together, you could've called and said so. So little regard for your customer? You hurt my feelings.

I only go to this location because Tabatha always makes me feel welcome and has great customer service. However, today my experience was different because I could not help but over hear the shift manager trying to talk to her boss about why Friday was not a good night. Not really sure what's going on but I do know that a boss should never belittle another boss in front of customers, especially using foul language. I feel sorry for Tabatha I hope this doesn't deter her she's my favorite,

"Had Foie Gras and Escargots for starters. Foie Gras was done to perfection with a little sweetness in the currant topping to blend wonderfully with the rich creaminess of the foie gras itself. The escargots were perfect. The light cream sauce with just the right whisper of garlic and fine strips of spinach richly supported the tender escargots. My entree was the bone in pork chop. It was superbly prepared, a nice light crispness on the outside and todiefor lush, tender, juicy meat on the inside. The apple compote accompaniment added a perfect sweet foil to the meaty toast of the chop.Perfectly done.Other entrees at the table included braised ox tail and the scallops. Both were expertly prepared. The ox tail was rich with a wonderful sauce that brought out the best of both meat and bone marrow, very satisfying. The white acre peas and fried shishito peppers that rounded out the dish were the right balance to the richness of the ox tail and were cooked to perfection. The scallops served atop creamed corn and english peas were also a delight. The scallops were good size, but extremely delicate and tender and the accompanying corn and peas outstanding. the pickled shallots were a real surprise adding a very inspired and charming savory element to the dish. Outstanding all around! While one might think it couldn't get better than this it did. Our service was provided by Beau, maybe BOW for his Bowtiewho was both our waiter and the sommelier for Matthews. His professional attentiveness and conversation was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. Bravo Beau!"

"Black Sheep is a great restaurant. The service is almost always excellent and this trip was no exception. Our waiter was great, personable and prompt. We had multiple happy hour cocktails which were of high quality and delivered quickly. The happy hour drinks are a great value. The Dusty Boot is my favorite and I hope it never leaves the menu. The food was good and tasty. The kitchen at Black Sheep is one of the best in Jacksonville. However the price for the food, even for the happy hour items, is getting out of hand. I have visited Black Sheep since they have opened. I’ve watched the pricing on the food increase over time and several items are now 30-50% higher than they were several years ago. Vegetable sides for dinner are now $7-8 dollars. A large salad is $14. These items used to be $5 and $10. The cheapest sliders for happy hour are $9. There is less meat on all three sliders combined than would be in a single small sandwich. The cheapest main for dinner is a $15 burger WITHOUT CHEESE. A slice of cheese is $1. One. Dollar. So $16 for a cheese burger and some shoestring fries. I know it’s grass fed beef but still! It’s obscene. If someone at Black Sheep is reading this, please, work on that menu and the pricing. You have slowly priced a loyal customer out of visiting your restaurant. You have good food but the value is no longer there. You have competition now, even in your own neighborhood. I love your restaurant and want you to win me back."
