"I have never been to any restaurant that had a more rude hostess. My son chooses Fitz's as his birthday restaurant every year. We enjoy going there. This year however we were definitely disappointed and almost walked out to go somewhere else. Had this not been a birthday treat for my son we would not have stayed. We walked in and were not greeted. The person at the hostess stand literally looked at us without saying a word. I told her how many in our party. She grabbed menus and started walking. Again not saying follow me or anything. She threw the menus down in a heap and walked away. Your hostess is so important. They set the mood for the entire dining experience. Eating out has become so expensive that you need to be choosy where you spend your money. I will guarantee you are losing money by continuing to employ someone who is sabotaging your restaurant. Even if people stay, they are immediately in a bad mood. You are doing a disservice to all of your wait staff who have to go above and beyond to overcome the inital seating situation. Thankfully our server was amazing. Management needs to do better. Do more training. Pay more attention. Come around and check on guests. You are in the service business and the service of your hostess was incredibly poor. I'm not sure we will be back. There are too many options for good food and good atmosphere."

I love the BLT's. If it's running, you can watch root beer being bottled while you eat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yummy root beer float. The food was decent there, but didn't seem to be special. On the front you can buy 6-Packs root beer and pop. I'd just come for the swimmer when I came back.

The menu offered a wide variety of options, the food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch! It's a spacious and comfortable venue, and the root beer is absolutely fantastic!

For those looking for vegetarian options, there are salads, fried pickles, artichoke dip, and pizzas, and they’re happy to accommodate your preferences for any dish. As for parking, there’s plenty of space available. The service is dine-in. View menu

Beautiful, clean restaurant with windows that look into the filling plant. Very attentive server with fast service. I had the Dirty Shirley who is Shirley Temple Soda with vodka over ice, and I enjoyed it. Ordered the Coney Dog with onion rings and it was delicious! We found out we could share a float for dessert, which was great as they are huge! I'm definitely back.

We stopped here for lunch and I can say it was definitely worth it! The burgers and pizzas were very delicious! I do not command much dessert, but felt the need to order a float because I never had one. I ordered a strawberry pop boat and it was definitely worth it! The first time in a long time that a restaurant brought me to order a dessert after dinner. I even bought a 4 pack of diet cream soda bottles. I love it here! View menu

We're not from down here.. came to visit our nephew.. this was a neat place... they bottle soda. Premium draft rootbeer, cream sodas..orange sodas and more. If you get to stop by during the week you can watch them bottle it. We were busy visiting and talking..we forgot to take pictures!! I've got to say there bbq burger was really good.. fries are delicious. Hubby got the fish and chips..he enjoyed it as well. He also got the gumbo soup.. thats good!! If you're anywhere near hete..stop in and try it..you'll like it!!

The atmosphere and service at this restaurant are excellent, but the food is just average. I wouldn't recommend the BBQ platter—the sauce had an unusual flavor that was not very enjoyable. While I appreciate the effort to create a sauce using root beer, the result was off-putting. Additionally, the turkey in the platter resembled spam more than actual turkey breast, and its texture was quite odd. On a positive note, the fried pickles and gumbo were decent; I've had both before and have always enjoyed them. They also offer a unique selection of floats that I definitely recommend trying for dessert—they're delicious! Although my experience with the food wasn't the best, I'm still looking forwa...

"We came here last night to celebrate my birthday. When my husband made the reservation he also mentioned that. When we were seated, the gentleman who was filling water came over right away. To be honest, the guys coming around filling water glasses and bringing the bread were the best part of our experience. They were kind, courteous and friendly. When our server got to our table, that was a different story. Our server did not so much as give a greeting or anything. He came up to the table and just said What are you drinking? And that was it. No greeting, no introducing himself. I have no idea what his name even was. Once we got our drinks he just ask, what are you having? We had to ask what the specials were that evening, it was not something that we would have been told unless we asked. I had the lobster bisque, which was just ok. I also had a piece of lobster shell in my soup which wasn 't pleasant. There was very little lobster in the bowl. It certainly wasn 't worth $14. My husband and I both had the filet porcini. The filet was good, the sauce was ok didn 't taste like a 'fine dining ' type of dish. We both had the pasta with garlic and oil for the side. The garlic tasted like it was raw it was so strong. Throughout the meal I felt like our table was a bother to our server because we weren 't one of his regular tables. He was chit chatting with his other tables, but barely spoke with us at all. When it came to dessert, my husband mentioned that it was my birthday. I said I was too full to have anything there, but I asked for a piece of tirimisu to go. He then asked if I 'd like complimentary gelato for my birthday. I got amaretto and my husband got chocolate. The amaretto gelato was fantastic! I was sad I was so full and could only have a few bites. The gelato was my favorite part of my meal. My photos I 've attached were of the tirimisu. It was an extremely small piece for it being $9. It was good, but way over priced. My husband and I had dined at Roberto 's a few years ago for my husband 's birthday and we had a fantastic experience. We had high hopes to celebrate my birthday, but ended up having such a disappointing night. Everything was overpriced and the service was subpar, and the food was nothing special. After this experience, I doubt we will take the gamble on spending that much money to possibly have another bad experience."
