"Today, I had a wonderful lunch at That Little Pork Shop on Monroe Street in Eden, NC. There are a variety of selections on the menu. It all looked delicious and it was difficult to make a decision. I finally decided on the pulled pork basket. It was outstanding. The tray came with hot fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, pulled pork barbeque with your choice of several different BBQ sauces, a perfect lunch under $9. This is a fantastic little restaurant in Eden. I highly recommend that you visit this restaurant on your next lunch or dinner outing."

"As a small business owner myself, I realize the importance of positive reviews. As a person with common sense, I also realize that there will be complaints and negative reviews. There are those who, if they were in the multitude fed by Jesus, would have complained that they would have preferred trout instead of tilapia, and really had hoped for rye bread because it would suit their digestive system better. Besides, with all that food, couldn 't the disciples have passed out little bottles of water to wash it down? Now for the review . . . A sanitation rating of 100% and I challenge anyone posting a review lower than four stars to find another perfect score in Eden. The grilled chicken salad was served with fresh, cold lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese, homemade croutons and steaming hot chunks of marinated chicken. Service is always friendly and Speedy makes everyone feel like a regular customer, even on the first visit. On our third visit, she commented, It 's your third time here. Yes, she pays attention. Some reviewers have commented on the prices, but the prices are fair considering how much everything costs these days. Have you bought a dozen eggs in the grocery store recently? Even a basic, flash-frozen hamburger at a fast-food restaurant is outrageous. The quality of Speedys ' food is incredible, and well worth every penny. I 'm glad that we discovered what one reviewer called a hidden little gem, and we plan to become regulars ourselves."

"While passing through. I decided to stop here. First impression is it's a drive in. They only take cash and check. My host was so sweet and humble and came out, got my order in right away. Even brought back a menu for me to look over. While waiting I decided to order more food.... Grilled chicken salad 7/10. They forgot my salads dressing Chicken livers, pickled beets and Mac and cheese 2/10. Fried livers where not fried yet bland and soft no batter. I only at the beets. Mac and cheese had to pass because it was cold considering I watched them microwave the sides My daughter got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and fries. She only at the chicken. Mac and cheese as well as fries where cold considering being microwaved. Overall, the salad and service was excellent but it's not somewhere I would run to eat passing thru again. Would recommend for Burger or salad."

"First time visiting the Fisherman's Galley and it was quite the treat for my wife and I. They opened at 3 p.m. and we arrived shortly after 3 to almost a full parking lot. Upon entering we were met by the cashiers at the takeout counter who didn't say a word. As we went through the doors we passed another cashier who didn't speak as well. So immediately I'm wondering if we came to the right place seeing the people weren't as friendly. We were seated at a booth and everything was clean and the lighting was perfect. We were greeted by a very friendly and charismatic waitress by the name of Ruth. She was so kind and friendly. We started with the cheese sticks which was very delicious and for our entree my wife ordered the flounder platter with fried oysters and baked potato and I had the catfish platter with scallops and popcorn shrimp. It was so much food. We knew right away that we would not be able to eat it all. Ruth continued to check on our table as we ate and enjoyed one another's company. The food was nice and hot and too much for my stomach to hold. It's well worth the money. You get what you pay for and a whole lot more. If you're looking for some seafood and great service be sure to check out the fisherman's galley. Tell them you want to sit where Ruth is the server. I would have given it five Stars had we been greeted with smiles. Still I would highly recommend this place for a family outing for you and that special someone."
