"Freddies has been and all time favorite of our family since 2009 when we first moved here. We love the fresh food and the best Lemon Italian Ice is thee best in the Bridgeport neighborhood. And for those who like alcohol they serve it that way too. Must show ID. They offer Italian style eats, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner whenever you're hungry this the place to go. They serve cocktails, beer, fountain soda and other beverages too. Family friendly, college kids, kids love it. There's so much fun to sit outside and use the patio during the summer time. It's also wheelchair accessible. Parking is very limited but most people come and go cause they do have walk up service and indoor service. You should come at least try the Italian ice. It's delicious and they have many flavors watermelon mango strawberry coconut and I think some other flavors. I hope you enjoy the review and try it out.Kid-friendliness: In the summer many little league baseball teams come to celebrate at Freddie's.Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is accessible to wheelchairs."

Came to try the breaded steak sandwich and it didn’t disappoint! Loved the small mom and pop vibe. Lots of people were there for pickup.

First time having Freddie’s and the food was bomb. I tried the pizza puff, the Italian beef, the breaded steak, and the Italian ice. All was great and flavorful. Service was amazing for sure! Shoutout to Nathalie!Food: 5/5

Such a hot day today I had a late night craving for a good old hot dog, fries, and Italian ice. My neighbor offered to run there and he asks me what flavor I want and do I want booze? WHAT!??!!! Just another reason to this place. Great food too! View menu

Great food but supper expensive one cheese burger a double is like 14 bucks. Their single burger comes with two patties their double comes with three. Pizza is not bad either very good and service is great. Just a bit too expensive for a quick bite. Always busy as well.

Absolutely fantastic! This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. The service was excellent, and I ordered the COMBO (Italian Beef with homemade Italian Sausage), which is one of the best in Illinois! The portion size is more than generous. My friend had a sausage and cheese pizza, and it was amazing too! Without a doubt, I will be returning!

Overall, they have offered the best Cobb salad I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing; it contained too much yellow, almost white romaine lettuce and resembled more of a chopped salad than the classic version. I used to rave about how they served it over a bed of vibrant green romaine topped with chicken, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, and eggs. I really hope they can correct this issue. View menu

A Reliable Restaurant in Bridgeport… You can always count on having a delicious meal at Freddy's! From their slices and fries to tots, combos, breaded steaks, and so much more—there’s a great selection! Some people might find the staff a bit brusque, but during busy times, it’s really bustling! And yeah, when it's busy, you might have to wait a little longer… But trust me, it’s worth it. The only downside is that parking can be tricky when they’re packed, especially on Sox game days, even though they do have a parking lot.

I would give them negative stars if I could. They up-charged me for a blended Italian ice with lemonade to a medium. Which is fine but when I got my cup it wasn’t even filled to the top. I politely asked them if they could fill it and the manager Cassie who lacked any type of customer service proceeded to tell me 3 scoops is the policy. I’ve been to Freddie’s several times and the cup has always been filled to the top. She didn’t even apologize or show any type of understanding. I spent $37 for my order. I will NEVER give this establishment my money again and advise you to save your money/time. It is not worth it.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
