"I recently visited Kao Ramen By Mama for the first time, and I have to say, it was amazing! The food is absolutely mouth-watering and bursting with flavor. I ordered the Kao No.1 Ramen, and it was outstanding (I've attached a photo). The waitstaff was fantastic, constantly checking in to ensure everything was to our liking and that we were happy. If you’re a fan of delicious Japanese ramen soup, this is definitely a place you should visit. I'm writing this review as I enjoy my meal, and I can confidently say that this spot in Ventura has some of the best ramen around. Stop by and you won't be disappointed by the friendly staff and the exceptional quality of the food!"

First time having ramen and have been waiting to try, so we dropped in on main for a taste. Waiters provided great service and food was very tasty. In the mood to eat something warm on a cool evening it's a great spot.

The food from this restaurant is always top-notch. I've never had anything that was mediocre. They used to offer a large noodle bowl, but unfortunately, that’s no longer on the menu. Still, everything I tried was absolutely delicious!

Kao Ramen By Mama is an excellent dining spot. My order arrived quickly after I placed it. I opted for the curry, and it was served promptly and tasted fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of spicy food, but this dish was definitely worth it!

Dude! This place is goooooodddd! Stopped in with a friend for lunch the other day. I ordered the first ramen on the menu and it was so worth it. I went with a 3 for spicy and it was perfect. Could have been a little more spicy but it’s all good. The staff was super friendly. Great service! View menu

Always a great place for Ramen and with beautiful outside seating. What could be better. Add the beautiful people of Ventura County roaming the now closed street for Covid-19 safety. I highly recommend this place. I've never had a bad meal here. Today's special Pork Belly in a Asian Bun. Was deeelicious.

We decided to check out Kao Ramen by Mama while in Ventura to pick up bottle and can releases from some local breweries. The ramen is very good. I had the Kao #1 which is in pork bone broth. Very flavorful with a decent amount of pork chausu and noodles and plenty of vegetables. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area.

Very good service and, of course delicious food. They sat me down at a table where the parasol was not working and after I asked about the parasol, they told me it was broken. Before I could complain they offered me the very next table available with shade. It took about 10 minutes and there were other guests waiting too, but they followed through and sat me down at a shaded table ASAP then quickly brought my bowl of ramen soon after. View menu

"This place has something for everyone. They have SO many specials, two menus for lunch specials, then if you miss this they have an early dinner special as well as regular dinner specials, special chef's dinner, low fat menus (food is steamed and you can choose the sauce which you can add on yourself) and dim sum (biggest sui mai) I've ever seen, they have northern Chinese dishes and traditional Cantonese dishes (like egg foo young, which someone called an omelette LOL. Although not the healthiest for people ordering from the healthy menu when you order a dinner vs a la carte, you get a wonton skin appetizer which are like tortilla chips you get in Mexican restaurant which will take the edge off your appetite until you get your entrees. Also not on the menu, they do something that Chinese restaurants used to do, which is serve you a pot of tea, jasmine, which they give you without charge ! They put the money in portion size (large amount of meat) not in the overhead as the place is very simple.Want to address some criticisms, someone claimed that their dish only have celery, the menu describes what vegetables are in the dishes, if you get one that just says vegetables, you will get a large variety that includes mini corn, mushrooms and water chestnuts ! They do have a photo menu in the restaurant posted but a HUGE printed one. Unlike another review there is NO brewery below but they DO serve liquor. And they are very pleasant and I have the feeling if you are unhappy about something they will please you,"
