"We were walking to a Cubs game and walked past the Full Shilling and saw the sign that said free hot dog with every drink. We didn't eat yet and figured we'd get a beer before paying more for one inside the ball park. Place wasn't too crowded and there was only one bar tender. After repeating our order of (5) beers twice and a reminder a third time, we did get our beers. After that, had to ask for the hot dogs. It's an Irish Pub but the bar tender had no clue how to poor a proper Guinness beer didn't taste correct. The hot dogs were pre-rolled with mustard and relish packets inside which lowered my expectations on taste, but surprisingly it was pretty good dog. The beer and hot dog brought us in the door, but beer service kept us at only having a beer each so we continued our walk to Wrigley."

Love hitting Full Shilling before (and sometimes after) a Cubs game.

The bartender Tyler took great care of us! Free hot dogs before and after games is great!

One of Wrigley’s most enjoyable and welcoming taverns. The atmosphere is fantastic, and there are plenty of good times to be had! View menu

This restaurant warmly welcomed our dart league, Windy City Darters. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. (June 2023)

Adam is the best bartender. He’s cute, he’s funny and he’s a white Sox fan that pretends to be a Cubs fan. What more can you Ask for across the street from the ball park?

Bartender was nice but the food and food service were unfortunately really bad. They kept a burger on my bill after it came out wrong 3 times and took over an hour to get. The order that I finally got still wasn’t right and they still charged me for it after saying they would take it off. View menu

I have been coming here through a few different owners and still love it. FREE HOTDOGS before and after home games, good food (love me some tots), and a more local feel. This is not a trendy young bar, and that 's one of the things I like about it. Karaoke on Friday nights and all the Malort you can shoot!

On July 1st, we visited the bar after the game, and we were the only customers there. Unfortunately, the bartender, who was quite tall, was unwelcoming and exhibited racist behavior. He seemed reluctant to serve us, giving us attitude and a disdainful look. Despite this negative experience, we decided to stay, ordered two rounds of drinks, and left generous tips. It's disappointing to see such behavior; we hope for better in 2023.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
