"In town for a couple days from New Mexico and this was one spot we had to try. Did not disappoint at ALL!!!!!! The Phozilla was worth every single penny, lobster was absolutely perfect the broth was so rich and hit every note just right. The rib was just sticky fall off the bone mastery but still had a nice bite so you got all of the flavors and spices on the crust, with parts that just melted in your mouth. Chef sent over bone marrow shots for my wife’s birthday…. These things were massive and the boba size straws basically allowed me to main line the elegant, super rich, nutty nector. If you’re in the Bay Area I’d 100% recommend a visit. I think we’re going to swing by again before we leave to try the mamas clay pot. Ashley and the staff were amazing and made the end of our first day in San Fran perfect."

I wanna say the FILET MIGNON PHO is best pho I have ever had so far! The broth was delicious, the rice noodle was amazing tasted like home made noodles, the FILET MIGNON was wonderful: tender, soft, nonfat, perfect with the homemade noodles.Coffee is good and strong, definitely worth the price!

I wonder why this place is busy. even when eating saw fusion or americanized, it still tasted authentic. they come with a group and eat family style. so they can eat more and taste more. will certainly come back to try all the other dishes. service was fantastic because the personal attention is.

I don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have over 4.5 stars. Bun Cha is my favourite, but I would love to try everything on the menu. Food is exceptional, service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great! Such a fun hipster place! I have tried so many Vietnamese food in different countries including Vietnam and this place is the best!

I began with the pork belly appetizers, which were delicious and satisfying, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the pork ribs I ordered. They were incredibly succulent and packed with flavor. The dish came with a generous serving of deep-fried sticky rice that was slightly sweet and crispy. Overall, it was an outstanding meal, and I think the restaurant is worth exploring further. View menu

Signed up for waitlist at 7pm on Yelp and the wait was about an hour. Ordered the Big Gao Pho and Five spice chicken with garlic noodles. The pho was delicious tho the portion is on the small side. Perhaps it was late in the day, the Five spice chicken was dry so I would it reorder again. Overall I would not wait an hour for this but would revisit for their pho and other dishes if the wait is not as long.

The egg cream coffee was smooth and had a robust flavor. The grilled prawns were fantastic! However, I had higher expectations for the Big Pho with Beef and Lobster, especially since it costs $100. I think I would pass on that dish if I visit the restaurant again. Next time, I’d like to try some of the other menu items. One thing to note is that the service wasn't great; we had to chase after our drinks, only to find out that some were unavailable because they were sold out.

Quite the experience. It lives up to the hype! For lunch on Friday, arrive well before 11:30. If there's a line at 11:30, get in it and you'll probably still get in on the first seating. More seating across the 2 levels than you'd expect from the storefront. You'll spend more time deliberating the menu, because there's SO MANY great choices. Try a signature cocktail or non-alcoholic drink. Both times we've been here we've left with leftovers. Our new favorite (non-cheap) Vietnamese restaurant! View menu

This isn't your run of the mill Vietnamese joint. It's decorated like a hole in the wall in Vietnam, but the chef puts an elevated spin on Vietnamese favorites. I really enjoyed their pho and starters. It's even good when taking it to go. The service is very efficient and friendly. They kind of have to be to make sure the line outside goes down fast enough. We arrived 10 mins before opening and still had to wait 20 mins to be seated. Ultimately it's worth the wait and you have to eat here at least once!Parking: The restaurant doesn't have parking, but there's 3 nearby garages and street parking. Though they all get full fast

We were visiting from out of town and decided to check this place out since I’ve been following them on IG for some time now. We went on a Saturday during the dinner time. We got in line at 4:40pm (they open at 5pm). We were seated as soon as they opened and we ordered immediately since we had already looked at the menu online. The service was superb, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I will say that I’ve prob only eaten Vietnamese food once or twice in my life so I can’t really compare. We were seated by the window and the shades were dirty, so my only suggestion would be to clean them. There is a parking deck on the same street as the restaurant.

"Curry Hyuga had long been on my culinary radar, and today, I finally had the chance to experience it. The occasion arose as I needed to pick up my partner at SFO later, and given the mere 10-minute drive from the restaurant to the airport, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to satiate my appetite and make the most of my time, rather than aimlessly circling around the airport. Conveniently, there are numerous public parking lots scattered throughout the town. The restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 am, and I arrived promptly at 11:25 am, only to find a queue already forming outside, as depicted in the photo. The attentive server, Yuki promptly greeted each customer and kept my water glasses filled, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.Opting for their Signature Curry Rice Entree, which features their caramelized onion curry accompanied by shredded cabbage, creamy potato salad, and Fukujin pickles, I decided to elevate my meal by adding Chicken Cutlet Katsu Curry with Chicken Karaage as additional toppings. To my amazement, my order was delivered to my table in a mere 3 minutes, which left me thoroughly impressed. Curry Hyuga's standout feature is their incredibly tender meat, perfectly complemented by their mouthwatering curry—a true masterpiece with Kanazawa-style sweetness and richness that sets it apart. To further customize your dish, they offer a selection of five different spices: Ichimi Togarashi, Jalapeno Pepper, Pequin Pepper, Wiri Wiri Pepper, and Orange Habanero. I had the pleasure of sampling all of them, and personally, I found the Wiri Wiri Pepper and Orange Habanero powder to be standout choices. Their spiciness elevated the curry to a whole new level, complemented by the unique fragrance of the peppers."

"I made reservations here for Valentine's day and everything was perfect! Their service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and with each dish it was cool how they talked about the food and explained some of the tastes and flavors just before we began eating. And they get huge props for accommodating my dietary restrictions and modifying almost every item on their menu to something I could eat! (5/5) Osetra caviar I normally hate caviar, but this one was really good! It's cured so it's a bit salty (4/5) Sauteed baby abalone Pretty good, although it doesn't quite compare to ones I've had in the past. That said, one doesn't eat abalone often, so I think the bar for abalone is pretty high (5/5) Warm lobster salad Wow! The lobster was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Also I thought the charred avocado was interesting; they blowtorch the avocado to give it a slightly tougher texture on the outside, mirroring the lobster (4/5) Braised Lamb Ragu The lamb was exploding with spices and flavor, although it was a tad dry inside. The pappardelle was perfectly al dente (4/5) Black Cherry Sorbet Pretty good, the puffed black rice was a bit hard (one of the pieces was like a rock) but the sorbet was flavorful without being too strong (5/5) Hokkaido A5 Wagyu This was the star of the show. Have you ever had steak that melts in your mouth like butter?? The only problem with this dish is that there were only 2 slices of steak! I wish there were 3! (5/5) Spicy Kiss Passion Fruit Juice They made a modification and gave me a small shot of spicy, fizzy passion fruit juice. The chili had a lot of heat but actually went well with the sourness and fizz of the juice. I would never have though of making passion fruit spicy, but it was pretty tasty (4/5) Cubed fruit stack I don't know what to call this since they also did an entirely separate fruit dessert for me, but it was essentially a Rubik's cube made of watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry, topped with a dark chocolate covered strawberry. (5/5) House made meringue I also don't normally like meringue, but this was like candy and tasted amazing! Thanks Viognier for a wonderful evening and accommodating my dietary needs, everything was solid!"
