The lengua in salsa verde was incredibly tasty, and my wife really enjoyed the chicken fajitas. We're definitely looking forward to coming back!

From what I know, this is the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cheerful. This place is fantastic. Treat yourself and dine at La Tiendita!

I grew up in Arizona, where I had the privilege of enjoying truly delicious Mexican food. It took me a long time to discover good Mexican cuisine here, but La Tiendita is a gem! Their tacos are incredible—I could eat them every day. The flavors remind me of the food I grew up with.

I found this restaurant through a thread on Tally Reddit, and it definitely met my expectations. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide range of choices, including tortas, enchiladas, and tacos. The food was authentically delicious. The service was excellent too! I highly recommend it! They also have Fresca options available.

What a charming and authentic spot! This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The complimentary salsa was absolutely fantastic—we couldn't resist asking for more. We ordered the whole fried fish, and wow! We found ourselves digging in with our bare hands to enjoy every bit of the meat. It was amazing! We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Every aspect of our order was wrong; instead of the meat dishes we had paid for, they served us bean and vegetable options. Even the items that were correct were poorly prepared. The $9 quesadilla was extremely disappointing. As for the beef empanadas, I can't even find the words to describe them; they resembled oversized corn flautas shaped like empanadas and were filled with beans. Overall, it was very disappointing. It took an hour to receive our food, and the portion sizes were quite small. I would not recommend dining here.

I had a truly terrible experience at this restaurant. Nothing seemed to go right— they brought us beans and vegetables instead of the meat we ordered. Even the dishes that were correct were underwhelming. For instance, the quesadilla looked like it was barely worth $9. As for the so-called "cattle-emanadas," they didn't resemble empanadas at all; instead, they looked like overinflated corn puffs shaped like empanadas, filled with beans. It was disappointing, to say the least. To make matters worse, it took an hour for our food to arrive, and the portions were quite meager. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Her meal also included a sandwich with some incredible cheese, located in the bottom right section of the sandwich menu. That sandwich was the highlight of our orders—it was packed with flavor from the very first bite. I went with the steak enchiladas served with beans and rice, which were quite good. The rice was fluffy, and the enchiladas were topped with a fantastic crema sauce.
