Had the hamburger steak and gravy, with cabbage and white beans and ummmm mexican corn bread. So Good

I don’t know why anyone would choose to eat anywhere else. Great food, great service, clean as a whistle, large portions.

My family and I happened upon this unassuming restaurant tonight. What a happy accident! The food was good, quick, large, and more than reasonably priced. We will most certainly be back! View menu

Stopped here on a trip home from Florida with my family. Every thing was delicious! We all got something different, and absolutely everything we ordered was fabulous! I love that they have a meat and three lunch everyday.

I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant today. The girl at the front with brown hair and glasses was quite rude. They accidentally left off one of my manager's food items from her plate and were uncooperative when we asked to fix the issue. Additionally, the juice had spilled everywhere because of how they arranged the plate. It was frustrating to see that my manager didn't even have her third side, and I had to go back inside to retrieve it.

The food here is fantastic, but the service leaves much to be desired. I keep returning because the food is so incredible. My only issue is that the service is consistently poor. I try to come during quieter times when there are only about 5 to 6 tables occupied, yet I still find that I have to ask for refills. My server has never been particularly attentive. My favorite dish is the country fried steak—it’s absolutely delicious. I also sampled the Butterfinger cake; while it’s a bit small for the price, it is really tasty. View menu

I stopped in for the evening meal. The menu was as usual certain dishes are served on certain days. My food came and at first I had half of the order incorrect. The waitress corrected the mistakes but, when you are waiting on your main dish everything else is getting cold. I ate some of it and took the rest to my friend's house and warmed it for an evening snack. I don't understand how the cooks can place the wrong items on your plate when it was clear enough I could read what she wrote. When we first visited this restaurant, I wasn't particularly impressed. The only things that stood out to me were the unpleasant okra and the so-called "wheelchair accessible" bathroom, which actually wasn't very accessible at all. However, my mom reminded me that the chicken livers were quite good, so we decided to give it another try. This time, the server informed us that we could order fresh okra instead of the kind that had been sitting under a heat lamp. We ended up ordering chicken livers, fried okra, and my mom had some beans and greens, and we shared everything. Delicious Food, Reasonable Prices.. Mom and I have ate at Garden Gate Cafe here in Muscle Shoals several times. We love their food. We also love that you have to wait a few minutes for the food instead of it sitting there 2 or 3 hours waiting for you or someone else to order it., I love their sweet tea. I wish other eating places that sell sweet tea could make it as good as Garden Gate does. Today, mom and I ate at the one in Florence that opened Monday of this week. I have to say that it was just as good as the one here in Muscle Shoals. I think the prices are pretty reasonable. The portions are plenty big enough for anyone.
