"A really big corner diner. Last stop for food on my way to the airport. Walked from my bnb and ordered at the bar. They opened kind of late for breakfast (9am) so I'm guessing lunch is more their thing? I got the breakfast sandwich and fruit to go. This is one of the better sandwiches I've had. Even with a runny egg, it stayed together, this croissant bun is working miracles. Salty, savory, sweet with a tiny kick, it's hitting all the marks. But $15, it's a little pricey. I so wanted a bloody, but I had to say no. Friendly staff gave me a water instead while I waited."

It was okay but not okay enough to pay for parking as the street parking is very limited.

Pictures of Mount Rainier can be seen when you enter the restaurant. I recommend trying the veggie omelette.

Great atmosphere and service. The coffee tasted a little bland, but the food was terrific and so was the service. View menu

Best breakfast spot in Portland. Been going for 13 years now. Broke my heart when they closed, and made it sing when they reopened.

Amazing omelette and breakfast potatoes. No wait for seating on a Sunday morning, although the restaurant was fairly busy. Great food and experience!

Good food. Don’t know about the coffee because they don’t have decaf espresso. Come on. Waitress was nice but otherwise service was not friendly. Overdose being treated on the sidewalk and staff forced us to step around them and the medic instead of going through the exit which was clear. View menu

I love this place! Have been coming here for the last 20 years and it's always great. It's your wonderful typical breakfast/brunch spot. Great drinks, great food, and great atmosphere with lots of art. Everytime I get eggs Benedict the egg is perfectly cooked. It will always be my comfort food/dopamine food.

A little cafe to have brunch. What's better? We got breakfast burritos that were dank AF. The service was excellent. The burritos were phenomenal. However, the salsa was not where it was at, at all. Idk if we got a bad batch, but it was no bueno. The place is cute with some art on the walls. Kind of a laid back vibe. I'd come back to try something else for sure!

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
