"This place is truly a hidden gem! I'm a big fan of the nutty banana toast and avocado toast, but I've recently fallen in love with the new heirloom tomato toast. I really hope they keep it on the menu permanently because it's absolutely incredible! I've tried their coffee a few times, and while it's just average, I'm not sure if I just ordered the wrong thing. My only suggestion would be to pay more attention to cleaning the seating areas inside. Each time I sat by the left wall, there was the same sticky dirt present. Despite that, the ambiance is lovely, the toast is delicious, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!"

The best sugar-free lattes I've ever had! I really appreciate that they're made with macadamia nut milk as well!

I really enjoyed the spacious seating and convenient parking. The mocha I had was outstanding, and the view of the marina is unbeatable. I can't wait to return for another coffee and toast!

I absolutely love Gilbert's! The food and coffee are fantastic. I'm really fond of the bread they use for their toasts. The location is perfect, right by the water with plenty of seating. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in the area!

$30 (incl. tip) for a coffee, pumpkin toast, and a small smoothie, 20 minute wait when the place was almost empty, and coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup... I'll stick with the Googan. There was a cute dog though, I give him 5/5. Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Great coffee, sweet raspberry crumble bars, perfect avocado toast, and adult beverages if you're into that sort of thing for the perfect harbor sunset happy hour. Great waterfront location with seating right on the water, shaded porch or A/C indoors for hotter days. Parking shared with Sailor's Return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Although we arrived later than the open table reservation ... I announced that we had one. At not point did they ask for my name to check in the reservation. I didn't push it. It took a very long time for the waiter to come to the table for a drink order. He apologized for the time it took to return with our drinks despite it not being that long. We placed an app order. Prior to the apps arriving he checked back in and asked for our entree. Sometimes I wind the server to please space out the meal but gave our server too much credit. A few minutes after the apps arrived, the entrees arrived. I told the runner that it was a bit soon but for many reasons didn't want to deal with the management and server when they came to check in. Normally, I would have complained... the entree gnocchi was vinegary and salty ... almost tasted like sauerbraten the short rib was moist but the gnocchi was overpowered by the sauce. There was NO TRACE of parsnips ... the carrots were not soft and NO potato chips present. The Brussels sprout app was also not well cooked and didn't have a blend of the flavors of chorizo. We had one of each of the 3 apps remaining and our sever wrapped DEVILED EGGS (which were very good) and the SHORT RIB LOLLIPOP in the same bin! Awful combo ... I felt as thoughtrhe server wanted to close out their shift although there were other tables still dining . The atmosphere was nice but the server was missing something Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking"

"I don’t ever write reviews and I don’t have the time to write reviews but after tonight I made the time. The Gafford was, one of our favorite restaurants in town. After tonight, that isn’t the case . Per usual and expected the bar is busy at 5 PM on a Wednesday during season. We were lucky enough to get a two top with a great waitress in the bar area. We had fabulous service and then requested a customized salad based on dietary restrictions only to see if it were possible… this is where things went down hill. The waitress explained that the kitchen was busy, and that the chef could only add a few condiments to their standard salads that were offered on their menu. We told her that we totally understood and we were grateful for whatever the chef could accommodate. 10 minutes later, the chef brought out our salads, which I thought was so complementary, considering how particular we were until he looked at us and said he would appreciate it if we wouldn’t talk “sh*t” to his servers. There was a big miscommunication with the service and chef/owner and it made us feel uncomfortable. I think it’s very poor judgment to go out and consult long term clients that not only eat at your restaurant on a regular basis but refer their clients to your restaurant on a regular basis. What is sad, is that this little review probably means nothing because “The Gafford” is already such a well-established restaurant. Unfortunately, with more experiences like mine, it won’t be the one gem in the town that everyone goes to. Stuart is growing so much and restaurants are popping up left and right. There will be many more to come and only the best will survive."
