"I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, which is unusual for my visits to Livingston. The locals weren’t very friendly, and the fish and chips were subpar. The bartender hardly smiled and didn't create a welcoming atmosphere. I sat at the bar for an hour and a half, during which the bartender left to attend to other tasks, leaving the bar back unattended. The bar back was not very attentive when it came to refills, and the overall service was incredibly slow. It's clear that he wasn't adequately trained to support the bartender. Despite only six people being at the bar, I felt neglected. I wish I had spent my time at The Mint instead, where I know I'll receive great service and delicious food. This is one of those rare occasions where I wish I didn’t have to leave a tip. I recommend skipping this place."
