"The first time I came here was a year ago and that was for lunch. I had the lamb burger which was good but the patty was not seasoned at all, which for me is a major put off. Anyway fast forward to this year and I came here again. The first was for dinner with my husband. We got the kefte as an appetizer and it was delicious! The yoghurt with it was so good, because it didn't taste like yoghurt! The kefte needed a little bit of salt and with a splash of lemon were EXCELLENT! I got the lamb chops and hubby got the chicken. My lamb was so tender and succulent and seasoned very well!! The sides were the mixed veggies which were so good too! The mushroom side was excellent too! None of the entrees have sides but these two were big enough for both of us! Hubby's chicken was pretty good, and it was half a chicken so a huge helping!!! We had the olive oil chocolate mousse! Definitely tasted the olive oil, the salt on top with the crunchy caramel made it an excellent dessert!!! I came here again the next day for lunch and we had the lamb gyro and a side salad. The salad was good. The lamb gyro was different, the meat was actual strips of lamb not the processed stuff most places serve. Initially I didn't like it but after the first two bites I loved it! We also tried the lemon chicken soup which was too lemony for me but a little bit of salt offset that acid and made it good! We also had the lamb pastries which were great!"

The beets salad looks nothing like the picture posted by the restaurant. Neither does the octopus. It took the restaurant almost two hours to prepare appetizers.

Incredible food at a very decent price. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chill. Ryan was an awesome server. If you are in the main building ask for a shuttle to take you down. Better than an other restaurant at Grove Park View menu

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional and friendly! We visited during restaurant week and took advantage of the prix fixe menu. The portion sizes were perfect, and the pacing of the meal was just right. Each dish showcased its star ingredient, beautifully complemented by the other elements on the plate. I can't wait to go back!

I truly enjoyed my dinner here on my own. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. For an appetizer, I had the grilled cheese, which was made with hearty cheese and had the perfect grill marks. For the main course, I ordered the rotisserie chicken, which was cooked to perfection and served with fingerling potatoes and a delicious sauce. Overall, it was a very nice meal!

We had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious—juicy and very flavorful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, making it my new favorite spot. I absolutely loved it! The restaurant has two different areas, which adds to its charm. The service was top-notch; our waitress was very pleasant, although I can't recall her name. As a local Google expert, I highly recommend this place! View menu

"Hole in the wall or Hidden Gem for Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Asheville Nestled in the vibrant culinary scene of Asheville, North Carolina, El Que Pasa stands out as a delightful destination for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a clean, well-kept interior that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The first thing I noticed was how genuinely welcoming the staff were. I was greeted with smiles all around, which immediately made me feel at home. Shortly after being seated, my waitress promptly took my drink order and within moments, I was served with a basket of fresh tortilla chips and salsa. One unique highlight that truly adds value to the experience is their salsa bar . It’s not just your run-of-the-mill selection; this bar featured about eight handcrafted salsas, each with its own unique flavor profile. Whether you’re a fan of mild, tangy salsas or crave a spicy kick, there’s something for everyone. This kind of attention to detail in offering a variety of salsas is a testament to their commitment to providing an authentic Mexican dining experience. For my meal, I ordered the steak fajitas, paired with their house special margarita. The sizzle of the fajitas as they were brought to the table instantly got my taste buds going. The steak was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The accompanying peppers and onions were fresh and added a nice balance to the dish. But what truly impressed me was the authenticity of the flavors. It’s clear that El Que Pasa takes pride in delivering a genuine Mexican dining experience, and they don’t cut corners when it comes to the quality of their ingredients. As for the margarita, it was simply a 10/10. The blend was perfectly balanced – not overly sweet, with just the right amount of tequila and a fresh citrus finish. It complemented my meal perfectly and added to the overall satisfaction of the evening. El Que Pasa offers much more than just a meal; it provides an experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Asheville, this restaurant is worth a visit. The combination of friendly service, an expansive salsa bar, and mouth-watering dishes makes it a standout choice for Mexican cuisine in the area. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and this time, I’ll be bringing my family along to share in the great food and warm atmosphere. If you’re searching for authentic Mexican flavors in Asheville with a welcoming vibe and top-notch service, El Que Pasa should be at the top of your list. Five stars all the way!"
