"I decided to try this place because 1) I love ramen and 2) I walked my dogs went here daily and I had to try. a cave, I am vegan and many ramen places do not use veggie broth, but gu ramen tapas does. Happy! as everyone knows, it is all about the broth and if it is veggie broth, it can be met or miss. well, I was pleasantly surprised, the broth was very delicious. I also made it sharp (medium). if they are in the neighboring foot or to foot their dog, they stop here. it was so good. I forgot to make a picture because I sneak it down so fast!"

Great service, prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. We got the tonkotsu ramen, la cheese won tons, and jumbo shrimp all great and worth the price!

I dream of their creamy ramen. Wish they had a non-fried chicken protien option. The pork slices are yummy though. The habachi rice is a must. So yummy and comforting. View menu

They have a deal for a chili shrimp and Sapporo and the shrimp is delicious. I try ramen in every city I visit, and this is the best I've had in awhile. They're not as crowded as I would have expected for ramen this good.

The ramen here is fantastic—this place has definitely made it into my top two favorite ramen spots. The only downside is that parking seems to be only available on the street, but fortunately, we managed to find a spot. We also tried the calamari appetizer, and it was the best I've ever had—perfectly crispy and light!

The noodles were fantastic, and the staff were excellent as well. My server was nice and friendly. I felt a bit guilty for not finishing my meal, but I was just so full. I will definitely visit again when I'm in LA. By the way, there's a bar right next to Gu Ramen called R-Bar, which I only discovered when I got there. View menu

I started with the scraper as an appetizer and then enjoyed the gu ramen with mild spices. The broth was simple, but I prefer bold flavors and a touch of salt, so I left it up to their expertise. I really liked the scraper; the dipping sauce was delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was quite nice for a Monday night.

Gu ramen is a ramen and tapas joint in Laguna Beach, alongside the Pacific Coast Highway. They were somewhat busy around sunset, with a line starting to gather after 8pm. The ramen noodles had good al dente texture, and portions were decently sized. However, I was not impressed by the broth nor the chili oil. There was a great selection of tapas and craft beers, although they were priced high.
