"this is one of the only places in st. joe with strong vegan options. I came twice and got a veggie plate/cobo plate each time. falafel was hot, fresh and crisp. 3 pieces came with the plate. reis was tasteful like the baba ghanoush, and dolma. there was an interesting Veggie mix that was also vegan-friendly. it was just okay. I enjoyed their hummus with oil and seasoning added. pita brot was fresh and soft. I also have fresh spiced pommes and they were good. my friends complained about how fat everything was. it was fat, but I like it so I don't take any points from me. I had to sell my soul for some tahini. obviously these people use them only as a mix in something else (even if the menu clearly says that tahini is a sose option), and I had to turn poor to get a side of it. the man (manager? owner looked at me as if I had two heads when I said I put tahini on my falafel and pita. he said you are not eating tahini just apologising her, sir. I, and many others, doing! when I came back for the second time, another man said they have no tahini. After reminding another worker who was there when I was given tahini days earlier, she informed this person that she was in the back. they are limited in the offered by drinks; only so that from the soda fountain were available, no water. the menu is limited, but what they have just like is done for Veg*ns to work. the place itself is quite naked bones and minimal. no aesthetic appeal next to a television showing pretty holiday videos from Greece. as regards the Mediterranean food, it may not be the best, but it may be the best as to get them in st. joe."

My favorite restaurant in Saint Joseph is delicious and affordable. I try to come here whenever I can.

I used to love this place but the quality of the food, portion sizes, price, and everything has declined.

Really good gyro! Plenty of options for toppings since they fix it in front of you. Friendly service, too. Kind of a cafeteria feel in the dining area. Next time we're up that way we'll stop in again!

The meat presentation has been altered. I preferred the traditional method of shaving the gyro meat rather than the new technique of cutting it into rectangular pieces. However, the taste is still fantastic!

Quick and clean with ample portions of fresh or pickled vegetables. The menu isn't extensive, but there are plenty of choices to choose from. The staff is welcoming and the prices are very reasonable, mostly ranging between $10 and $12 for a meal. View menu

the atmosphere is close to a Mediterranean type, a lot of space on every table to stretch, authentic smell of Mediterranean flavor and excellent eating. the prices are not too high. I try to eat here every time I'm in the city that is usually once a week. the personal is very courteous and the customer service is also excellent. updated by previous review on 2022-02-12

This is some delicious food! Sooo much flavor! And excellent customer service. I got the Hummus Za'atar Chicken bowl: yummy hummus, flavorful chicken breast, crisp cucumbers, carrots, onion, cilantro, seasoning and almond slivers (he put on only what I wanted but there's also Greek olives and olive oil) along with excellent pita bread. My husband had the chicken gyro. He loved how well seasoned and tender the chicken was, mildly spicy and juicy. He loved the sauce on it too. His came with a generous heaping of hummus and the pita bread. We got a side salad to share (enough for two people). The greens were beautiful (romaine, I believe) and the dressing was delicious. If we are ever in this a...

"We recently visited St. Joe and were on the lookout for vegan options, and this restaurant was one of the few that had a dedicated vegan menu. Firstly, the positives: the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We really enjoyed the vibe, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. Now, onto the less favorable aspects. Although the restaurant has a vegan menu, I was surprised to find out that they don’t offer any plant-based milk for coffee. This felt quite unusual since even many of my meat-eating friends prefer plant milk in their coffee nowadays; it’s rare to come across a place that only serves dairy options in 2022. As for the food, we tried the vegan shepherd’s pie and the vegan curry, along with split pea soup and hummus with pita as sides. Unfortunately, I had to send the shepherd’s pie back to the kitchen because it was cold in the middle. While I enjoyed the split pea soup and found the curry quite nice, the rice that accompanied the curry was dry, and the pita served with the hummus was also cold, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the food just didn’t quite hit the mark. Perhaps it’s because we come from an area with a wide variety of vegan choices, but despite arriving hungry, we ended up leaving more than half of our meal untouched. I usually finish my plate, but this time we didn’t even ask for a box to take our leftovers back to the Airbnb. In summary, the staff and atmosphere were wonderful, but the vegan food leaves room for improvement. I also strongly suggest they start offering plant-based milks for coffee."

"We arrived shortly after 7 p.m. and immediately overheard one of the staff engaged in a conversation filled with extremely foul language, which was quite off-putting for a first impression of a restaurant. After a few minutes, we were finally seated, but then we felt completely forgotten. It took over 40 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order, and we quickly decided to order our food at the same time. The wait for our food was equally long, taking another 35 to 40 minutes. I ordered the Simon sandwich with french fries. Unfortunately, it was drenched in so much barbecue sauce that it soaked through the bread and made it nearly impossible to enjoy. The roast beef was stringy and tough; every bite resulted in half the filling falling out, making it hard to chew. In the past, I have ordered that sandwich dozens of times and always considered it one of the best in St. Joseph, but tonight it was barely edible. I ended up leaving a quarter of the sandwich and quite a few of the french fries on my plate. The fries were overly greasy and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. After we placed our food order, we didn't see our waitress again, so there were no drink refills, and we weren't even asked if we wanted dessert. This was certainly not the experience I wanted my friend to have at a restaurant I used to cherish. I have no plans to return anytime soon."
