"I was really disappointed with my experience. I only ordered from here because Gyro was closed, but now I realize I should have waited. The food just isn't good at all—I couldn't even finish it. The tzatziki had no flavor. I ordered hummus with pita but received tzatziki instead (which I had confirmed was fine when I called). They sent the tzatziki without any pita, so now I've paid over $11 for a large cup of something I can't even eat it with. The salad had just one tiny piece of red pepper, despite the menu stating it should come with onion, but there was none. The grilled chicken was dry and tasteless. It's really disappointing, and if I could get a refund, I definitely would. I rarely complain, but I’m just really frustrated since I can’t eat this food and now I'm hungry."

To start, our order was missing a Gyro. Additionally, the meat was dry, and the French fries tasted stale and cold. The Tzatziki sauce was too thin, and the falafel salad was dry and falling apart. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money on this subpar Greek food. If I could rate it with zero stars, I definitely would.

The food quality felt more like that of a food court than a restaurant, especially considering the prices. The souvlaki consisted of two small, dry kebabs that were about 3/4" wide. I ordered brown rice but received white instead. On the plus side, the falafel was good, and the tzatziki sauce had a nice flavor, although it was a bit runny.

"I should have known to leave when I saw that the restaurant was empty at 1 pm on a Friday. However, the service was good and the waitress was friendly. I decided to order breakfast for lunch. "The service was excellent but wish I could say the food was better. The arugula salad was very good! We ordered the lasagna and bronzino. The fish and spinach was good but the fish with sauce was cold. Even the sauce was coagulated from sitting. I wrapped it to go. The lasagna was cold and tasteless. Had much better elsewhere. "we have gone to vaterday. we sat in the parking lot." It was okay, but it was still at the Parming-Loom. it was also a bit warm, and it warns blistering hot out (thanks quality) lets eat speak. we had the fried calamari, grilled scallops with avocado on tortilla chips, grilled otopus, small raids on the half shell. octopus was tender, scallops were ingenious (chips could be better, too thin) muddles were really shaken. fried calamari had circusts with what was a nice note, but the calamari was pretty ok. not the best or the worst thing I had, it was ok. two of us had lb lobster, dampened, I had all the red snaps, and there was a black calamari someone else had. everything was amazing! I was definately pleasantly surprised and we will be back!. desserts were ok, sufficient, but nothing amazing. service was good, attentive and prompt. the most important courses took a little out, and at this point they were not busy, so not sure what the problem was. a great experience with delicious food!"

"Maybe it’s just me, but when dining at most restaurants nowadays it feels like a very sterile and transactional process make a reservation, order the food, pay the check, and leave that is until you dine at La Cipollina. Whether it’s your first time dining there, or you’re a regular, every staff member treats guests as if you’re part of their family. This stems from the belief and the training of the owner Anthony. Anthony has had this spot for a LONG time and it seems as though his passion for food and hospitality has not waned in the last 30 years. It’s great to see staff that is excited to be there, to tell you about the specials, and to make you feel as you’re celebrating a special occasion each and every time you dine there. The food is consistently good and that’s bc the quality of the ingredients doesn’t change. As the price of everything goes up, it must be hard for a restaurant to stay consistent, but somehow La Cipollina delivers the meticulous attention to detail that we’ve all come to know and love. I’ve heard some local Freehold folks call this a “special” occasion spot, and this couldn’t be further from the truth. Is it a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, sure but it’s just as awesome to celebrate being alive on a random Thursday night and ordering the fresh mutz and the gnocci thank me later"

"Please reconsider the bread that you offer diners First impressions are everything and when you put out a loaf of dry, hard, stale bread it sets the tone for a lackluster dining experience which is what we had. We do appreciate our local restaurant but it just misses the mark. We had to flag down our server for more wine/ drinks and she barely checked in. The food was ok, definitely not worth the money. My husbands steak came out sooo well done even when he asked for medium rare. They did take it back but it took forever for him to get a new one. And one would think they would send out a dessert, or even a side dish to apologize but we got nothing. For the price of this restaurant the service needs to step it up, and the food needs to get better. First place to start is lose the stale bread as an offering!!!"
