"Located near Chinatown, this well-known Sichuan hotpot chain comes with a higher price point but offers a truly satisfying experience. The menu includes several vegan soup bases and a variety of tofu, soy, and vegetable options to add in. The customer service is exceptional, from the waiting area to the friendly staff and even the robot waiters, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Our waitress was particularly helpful in explaining the menu to vegans new to hotpot dining. The traditional dance performance below added to the overall experience, making diners feel as though they had been transported to another world."

the vegan options were not as numerous as I hoped, but it is worth trying for the experience alone.

I was disappointed by the limited selection of vegan options, but I still recommend giving this restaurant a try for the unique experience it offers.

Our waiter asked about any food allergies or if we were vegetarian. The menu clearly marks vegetarian options, and the sauce bar labels each dish for various allergies, including wheat. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous - perfect for a hungry young man! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you have a native Chinese speaker to help with translating the menu/sauce bar options. Even my Taiwanese friend was impressed by the food. Our waiter's first question was about any food allergies or if we were vegetarian. The menu lists vegetarian options and Sauce Bar categorizes each dish based on different allergies, including wheat. The vegetables were incredibly fresh and the portion sizes were generous, perfect even for someone with a big appetite! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you have a native Chinese speaker to help with translating the menu/sauce bar options. Even my Taiwanese friend was impressed by the food.

Our waiter's first question was about food allergies or if we were vegetarian. The menu featured designations for vegetarian options, and the sauce bar categorized each offer by different allergies, including gluten. The desserts were very fresh, and the portions were generous, even for someone with a big appetite! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you have a native Chinese speaker who can help with translating the menu and sauce bar options. Even my Taiwanese friends were impressed by the food.

This place is incredible—definitely a must-try! I want to extend my gratitude to Evan for providing exceptional service during my first experience with hotpot. He was patient, answered all of our questions, and was very kind throughout our visit. The restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. It was my birthday dinner, and they beautifully decorated our table, sang happy birthday to me, and brought out treats. Thank you, Evan, for your wonderful service, and thank you, Haidilao, for making my birthday dinner so special! View menu

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
