"I want to express my gratitude for the outstanding breakfast experience! I've been searching for a place that not only offers a diverse selection of breakfast dishes but also provides delivery, and I've finally found it. I've ordered multiple times, and every time, the food has been prepared exactly to my preference—even my poached eggs are perfect! My personal favorites are the Mount Diablo Scramble and the various bowls. The portions are generous; I always have enough for both breakfast and lunch. The flavors are reminiscent of home-cooked meals, with well-balanced ingredients that complement each other beautifully—nothing is too overpowering. Additionally, the service is remarkable! My orders consistently arrive in 20 minutes or less, and there was even one occasion where my breakfast was still warm upon arrival. The meals are genuinely of restaurant quality, so while I do spend a bit more, it’s definitely worth it for an occasional treat for myself."

"This local restaurant offers a diner-style menu with specialties such as 36 types of mimosas (listed on a separate menu), various types of eggs Benedict, and other dishes. I ordered the Crab Benedict, Country Benedict, a side of bacon, coffee, and a mimosa flight. The Benedicts were delicious, with flavorful gravy and perfectly cooked eggs. However, the country potatoes and hash browns were nothing special. The bacon was disappointing, as it was low quality and lacked flavor. The coffee was served with Land O Lakes half and half in small, shelf-stable containers. The mimosa flight, consisting of three shot glasses, was interesting but slightly overpriced at $12 for approximately 4.5 oz total. The seating appeared to be taped with electrical tape, indicating that the booths may need new seats."

"I have dined at many Chinese restaurants throughout my life, and at nearly 70 years old, I have found the best place to be Shan Shan Low on Willow Pass Road in Concord. The food is always fresh and delicious, and I have been a loyal customer for over 28 years. However, on a recent evening out with my wife, we decided to try Yan's Garden. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We spent over $50 on our meal, only to be served food that was subpar. The lemon chicken was chewy, old, and cold, and the accompanying butter lemon sauce lacked any real lemon flavor. The fried prawns seemed to be of low quality, likely frozen and not fresh. The hot and sour soup was also lacking, with an unidentified ingredient that ruined the taste. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, with only the front desk attendant and her children playing in the empty dining area. To make matters worse, they did not even serve hot tea, which I found to be quite surprising for a Chinese restaurant. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the food and service, and I will not be returning to Yan's Garden in the future."

"I was about to type a generic good food good service sentence and my husband reminded me about the cornbread croutons. For dinner one Thursday evening we were in town and decided to try the Lazy Dog. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken salad and atop the salad were cornbread croutons. These are delicious little bites of cornbread baked as croutons and I wish I could buy them by the bagful. Appetizer we tried was fried deviled eggs, and I understand that sounds weird, but whoa they were excellent and tasty with a small piece of the bacon candy adorning their greatness. My husband ordered the PB&J burger (which included bacon candy yum) and the bite I tried was very good. The side of pickled cucumbers was a small dish of thinly sliced cucumbers that had been pickled in vinegar with radishes, also tasty. I also ordered and drank a Huckleberry Mule which definitely could have used more vodka as the ginger beer fought the flavors of the lemon and huckleberry pretty fiercely. We would eat here again."
