Harold's - Menu

So sad to see that Harold's closed. We absolutely loved this restaurant! The Gyro platter was our favorite for over 20 years. We had a feeling back in April that it was the last time we'd eat there. 43 years is a good run. We will miss Harold's.

My Hubby grew up on Mom Pop places, so when I suggested Harold's, he was intrigued!!!! We both agree that was the most delicious burger we have had in a LONG time! Service was great too! It was clearly a Mom Pop place! We look forward to returning to try the Pizza!

Harold's is a no frills restaurant that serves American food, and I had a solid meal there today. I ordered a burger, fries, and beer. The restaurant is clean and the person who waited on me was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food didn't take too long to come out and was good. I 'll get straight to the point. What kind of restaurant has a debate, then ARGUES with a customer when we explained why the calamari was all breading, and was plain tasting. No I see calamari on that plate. (Points) yup it 's fine to me. That 's how it comes So is this normal? Where the WHOLE plate is breading? Fine I don 't want it. We were unhappy with it. The waiter (older Caucasian man) was RUDE didn 't offer to replace or take off bill. Aren 't hole in the walls supposed to be better tasting and welcoming? NOT THIS PLACE.

I've really enjoyed visiting this restaurant over the years because of the good food and service. I even made the 45-minute trip to come here for lunch and support them during the pandemic. Unfortunately, I’m sad to say that I probably won't be returning. Our lunch for two cost $38 for two sandwiches, two teas, and a slice of carrot cake for $8. While everything was good, I found it to be quite expensive. After adding a tip, our total came to $45 for lunch. I wish them all the best, but they really need to be mindful of their prices if they want to keep customers coming back.

First time here. It's very cozy very clean inside. Not too loud but everyone was having a good time. Older couple that served us could be the owners. They are very friendly and courteous. I didn't get pizza today because I just had dental surgery. I ordered lemon chicken spaghetti and wings instead. Omg their wings guys! Best wings I have every had in a long long time. They are crispy outside yet juicy inside. Not overcooked, not dried out like everywhere else. It's not greasy at all either. Seasoned to perfection. No exaggeration!! Known for their delicious pizza, with fresh dough and sauce made daily and a blend of two types of cheese, we simply had to try it. After a reasonable wait, our side salads arrived as appetizers, and then the pizza was served. It looked incredible! I couldn't wait to dig in. It was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were absolutely on point! My husband, who used to work as a pizza cook, was blown away by how good it was, especially since it was his first time trying it. As we were leaving, I overheard Harold tell another customer, "I hate to say it, but I’ll see you tomorrow!" I'm sorry to hear that Harold's closed its doors on May 7th. If I had known, I would have made a point to visit one last time. I did manage to dine there back in February 2021 when the lockdown restrictions eased, and I think I visited again in June 2021. I also picked up a Pepperoni Pizza at some point, as I have three sets of photos to share. Harold's was a reliable spot for years, and I used to frequent it regularly from the mid-'90s until the early 2000s. I remember a cook named John from New York, who had a thick Italian accent and was an outstanding chef and manager. He could whip up anything! We decided to give this restaurant a second chance. First time we were here we ordered a pizza and salads. Salad was great but pizza was slightly undercooked. Waitress was as awesome!! Second time was today (12/28/2021), we were hoping we could have a better experience. Unfortunately, our waiter brought our drinks out with his fingers all over the top of our glass. This is one of the most disgusting ways to serve a glass, a glass I l/we will drink out of. We had to use napkins and hand sanitizer to clean the top of my glass before drinking.
