"Alrighty, I love the vibe here. It's a lovely space, nice staff, and the beer selection is the best in town.The food is lacking on many levels which is a symptom of the high staff turnover. The spinach artichoke dip is mostly cream cheese. The chorizo dip has no chorizo. The buffalo dip is basically only jalapeno with no actual buffalo flavours. If you do stuffed jalapenos you've got to clear at least some of the seeds so there's not extreme variation of spice in each bite. Blue cheese can go bad (smells like lemon pledge) and when it does don't put it on a steak. If the steak is supposed to be cooked medium, well done is not cool. If someone pays and the shift switches, don't lose their money and ask for another $70. It feels like Brick house is sabotaging itself and if there were other options in town that offered similar food at the same hours they would actually be forced to step it up.All this being said, trivia night, open mic night, and the overall experience is still decent. Just go in with the right expectations."

"1st timer disappointed. I ordered Salmon. When it arrived I could tell by looking at it it was way overcooked. The piece was actually hard. Salmon is expensive and to see a cook ruin it like that makes me think twice before coming back. The waitress I had was so kind. The front staff were all pleasant. Thank you. I will return but only for dessert. Not sure I trust your line cooks for a meal. I returned and chose 1 star. Eggs Benedict was overcooked and hollandaise was broken. No seasoning what so ever! I will never give this joke of a restaurant by money again!!"

"A couple weeks ago we came in and had terrible service, there was a guy sighing saying he hated working there and all around it just didn’t feel as welcoming as well as our Order not being correct. Today we came in and noticed almost all new workers! The gal apologized for twice for being a bit behind (which they weren’t they were doing incredible and waiting on us to place our order) and I’m just happy with the new workers and management telling us what they have and don’t have (as in cheese, meats) glad to see an up rise in the workers again! The food is always absolutely amazing and love the many options they have!"

"Just a lunch time meal that isn't on their regular menu, just a special. Was suggested by a girl busting tables. Can not remember the name but was a taco salad on tots! Awesome special!! My waitress, two work, both awesome, was very attentive. Only two girls working. I was in between 1100hrs and 1200hrs!"

"The Pineapple dish was even more underwhelming. Not only was it lacking in flavor, but it also had a poor presentation, with the pineapple chopped into tiny pieces that were hardly noticeable in the dish. Given the name of the dish, this was particularly disappointing. My son’s choice, the Kimchi Lo Mein, also failed to make an impression. We had expected a vibrant blend of flavors, but it ended up being quite forgettable and fell short of its potential. The only bright spot was the pot stickers, which my usually picky 16-year-old daughter enjoyed—an uncommon occurrence for us during dining experiences. The service did not enhance our visit. It was slow, and the baffling decision to have fans running in December in South Dakota added an uncomfortable element to our already disappointing meal. Additionally, our seating was uncomfortable; we had stools at our table while other smaller tables were equipped with chairs that had backs. We opted not to request a change to avoid further inconvenience. An unusual occurrence was the late arrival of a large portion of white rice, which came long after our main courses had been served, contributing to the overall oddness of the meal. I understand that restaurants face many challenges, and I typically strive to be a considerate guest, which is why I didn’t send back any food. However, the overall experience at Silk Road Cafe was far from what we had hoped for. I write this review in the spirit of honest feedback and improvement, as the cafe did not live up to the expectations set by its menu and atmosphere."
