"Even better, I asked Jay if he knew where I could grab a quick bite to eat, somewhere other than the usual fast food joints. He pointed out that the bar next door was connected to The Hillcrest and was open for another 35 minutes. I decided to check it out and ended up at Nirvana, enjoying a beer and a delicious chicken sandwich at the bar. It was such a lovely experience! The Hillcrest is truly a unique spot. I can't wait to return and dine in their restaurant; it has an ambiance that feels like Audrey Hepburn or Spencer Tracy could stroll in at any moment. At least I'll be there, happily anticipating the arrival of some intriguing guests."

Very friendly service. Quaint place. Food was pretty good. I had patty melt, fries..husband had tamales which he reported were very spicy but he opted for the spicier ones without knowing that.

The baked lasagna was absolutely delicious, and the tuna melt was fantastic as well! Ashley is such a lovely person! Just be aware that the restaurant is currently short-staffed, but the team works incredibly hard and excels at what they do.

We stopped for dinner during our Route 66 road trip to Las Vegas, and what a fantastic spot we found! It really took me back to my childhood. The food was delicious, and the service was warm and friendly. It's a wonderful retro place to enjoy a meal just like your parents or grandparents once did. View menu

Oh, my! Pulled into this little jewel. Was immediately greeted by a very nice lady. She told us that it will be a little longer than usual waiting due to lack of personnel. We liked to wait. I'm glad we made it! I'm a taco lover....never heard of burnt cheese tacos... my taco life will never be the same. You're AMAZING! Our whole food was great and the kindness of staff and other customers was amazing. If we ever find ourselves in Las Vegas, NM will be happy to return!

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
