Made a reservation for 14 people at 5pm. Hostess ask how many. I said I have a reservation. She says for how many. Well I gave them all that over the phone. Needless to say we ended up being put at several tables. All this after the hostess scowled at us and then rolled her eyes. Not my fault you were not seeing there was a reservation and at what time it was.

I have been dining at this restaurant since my mom first took me on a road trip in 1990. I have returned many times over the years and I am always pleased with everything about the place. The food and service are truly exceptional. I also enjoy the German music they play. Despite some negative comments from other patrons, I always have a great experience here. My favorite dish is the jagerschnitzel, but everything I have tried there has been delicious.

Since moving out of the area, it was the first time back in many years and wasn't disappointed! Rouladen and Sauerbration was great as well as the sausages and red cabbage. It's not fine dinning but good old authentic German food, maybe like Grandma used to make. Cheese spread and crackers are packaged Lance crackers, again not fancy, more like a German diner. The setting, like many PA restaurants would be considered Dated' by many with wood paneling and similar era chairs, BUT. everything we had was great, including the On Tap German Beer! So wished we lived closer and could visit more ofthen! View menu
