"One of my new favorite spots! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here, and everything we ordered was delicious. I loved how the food was served in courses—it made the meal feel really special. If you’re seated at one of the grills, your main dish is cooked to order, but you’ll need to order from a specific section of the menu due to cooking limitations. I recommend making a reservation, especially for larger groups or busy times. If you’re celebrating a birthday, be sure to order the birthday special (around $10). They bring out drums and a large dessert platter with a lit candle, so everyone can sing happy birthday. It was totally worth it—my daughter’s face absolutely lit up! I highly recommend Honmachi."

Came here because Osaka was over 2.5hr wait. When we arrived we had no wait and place was busy. Our chef Andrew was great, he was funny and you can tell he was enjoying entertaining us while he cooked. He interacted with our group and we had a blast. Food was great! People were great! Highly recommend

Great service! The food was delicious, but if your server offers you a choice between 1 sauce or 3 that accompany the combos, definitely choose all 3. They're all amazing! Just when you think you've picked a favorite, you'll try the other two and fall in love with them as well. I suggest opting for the Sake bomber, as the regular drinks can be quite expensive. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

I had lunch with a group at the S Alma School location and noticed that they don't offer lunch specials. It seems I need to get used to the rising prices of dining out. I ordered the scallop tapa, which was cooked perfectly. However, I would have liked to see twice as many vegetables and half the rice! Our chef was quite charming, although he didn’t do any flashy tricks. As always, the service was extremely gracious. View menu

We chose to visit this restaurant after finding out that Osaka had a wait time of over 2.5 hours. Luckily, when we arrived here, there was no wait at all, even though the place was quite busy. Our chef, Andrew, was amazing—he had a great sense of humor and genuinely enjoyed entertaining us while he cooked. He interacted with our group, and we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited Honmachi for lunch with a group at the S Alma School location. While they don’t have any lunch specials on the menu, I understand that rising restaurant prices are something I’ll need to get used to. I chose the scallop tapas, which were cooked perfectly. However, I would have liked the dish to include more vegetables and less rice—ideally, twice as many veggies and half the amount of rice. The chef was delightful, though there were no extravagant culinary tricks. As always, the service was exceptionally gracious.

The service was quick and attentive, and my food arrived faster than I anticipated, which is a definite plus when you're feeling hungry. As for the meal, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't really impress me. I was a bit disappointed with the salad, as it was entirely made of iceberg lettuce, though the dressing was quite tasty. The spicy rolls I ordered didn't have much heat, but they were still flavorful. Overall, I'd definitely consider dining here again, and next time I might try the Teppanyaki. View menu

The service was quick and attentive, and the food came out faster than I anticipated, which is always a bonus when you're feeling hangry. In terms of the food, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really impress me either. I was a little disappointed that my salad was made entirely of iceberg lettuce, though the dressing was quite flavorful. The spicy rolls I ordered lacked any real heat, but they were still tasty. Overall, I would return to this restaurant, and perhaps next time, I'll try the Teppanyaki.

The service at this restaurant is standard: polite and efficient, though somewhat minimal. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento box, which came with a California roll and a few pieces of tempura vegetables. Unfortunately, the beef was cooked well done, rather than the medium rare I had requested. The tempura was quite good, while the California roll was fairly average. However, the seaweed salad was a standout—fresher and more flavorful than what I've had at other places. Many restaurants tend to add fillers like lettuce that dilute the seaweed's taste, but this one got it right. My wife ordered some sushi rolls, which were also typical. We might consider returning to try some of their other di...
