"A fantastic local gem offering some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we've found in the DMV area. The staff are incredibly friendly, courteous, and attentive, creating a warm and casual atmosphere in this Wheaton spot. We enjoyed almost everything we ordered: the guacamole (avocado, onion, jalapeño, tomato, cilantro with chips) was fresh and flavorful, though I personally prefer it a bit chunkier. The Queso Fundido (melted Jack cheese, Queso Oaxaca, jalapeños, cilantro, served with corn tortillas) was outstanding—especially with added chorizo, which was rich and delicious. The cheese was so tasty you could eat it on its own with a spoon. The Tlayudas (pork lard, refried beans, cabbage, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and cheese), boosted with chorizo, was an amazing dish. I hadn’t tried it before, but I highly recommend giving it a shot—it’s perfect for sharing among 3-4 people as an appetizer or for one as a full entree. The Enchiladas de Mole (three traditional mole enchiladas stuffed with chicken, served with rice, beans, queso fresco, and radishes) were a hit—my wife loved them, and the mole sauce was incredible, smoky with just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. Our daughter enjoyed her custom burrito with beans, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole—she claimed it was one of her favorites ever, with perfectly cooked beans. We also tried a couple of tacos: the Al Pastor (marinated pork with adobo and pineapple) was perfection, reminiscent of Mexico City. The Suadero (braised beef) taco was the only dish I wasn’t a fan of—it was a bit too fatty and mild for my taste. Overall, a phenomenal meal. We can’t wait to come back or order from here again soon!
