"I was in town for work and stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The server recommended the brisket Reuben with fries, and it was excellent. The fries were hot and fresh from the fryer. The service was fast and friendly, and I was in and out in under 25 minutes, which was perfect for a work day. The place is clean and welcoming. They have a wide selection of baked goods, although I didn't get to try any this time. The menu is standard, but the barbecue is excellent. If I'm ever in town again, I will definitely try some brisket on its own. It seems like a family-friendly place, so I would come back with my kids and family if we are ever in town. The atmosphere is typical for a small town diner, but the food definitely exceeded my expectations."

I recently ordered chicken quesadillas and while they did have cheese, I found a whole bone in my quesadilla, which was a very unsettling mistake.

my mother-in-law was made of pulaski and loved sandy creek so it was just fitting that we had a family breakfast here in their memory. I couldn't come. View menu

When you arrive hungry, you won't leave hungry at this restaurant. The main ribs and seafood dishes are excellent, and the wait staff is very friendly. I will definitely be returning. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the desserts - they are a must-try, even if you're too full from your meal.

What a great place we had prime rib, mashed (real) potatoes, veggies and cornbread, dessert was HOMEMADE huckleberry pie, second night was smoked (on premises) fall off the bone ribs and fish platter, wonderful and ALL desserts are actually homemade. All staff very friendly and treated us well will be back if in the area View menu

With my husband for lunch. The waitress sat at our table and never came back until I went to the counter and asked if someone would wait for us. She looked stupid and asked who set us. I said you did it. It wasn't so busy that it wasn't like we were lost in the crowd. I asked for roared firefish and she said they didn't cook fish. I know the locals rave over this place, but I know I won't be back

We stopped at the Huckleberry Cafe while traveling through the area. It's a cozy little homestyle diner. Waitress was friendly and the food was good overall, my wife had the Huckleberry salad and it was on point, kids liked the chicken tenders, I had the seafood combo, the haddock, shrimp, and scallops were all good but the fried clam strips unfortunately were not, the breading was too thick and undercooked. Also the bathroom could use a good cleaning. Overall still an enjoyable place to eat, would stop in again to try their breakfast

"Great food but horrible customer service. Have been disappointed a few times with the service. Last night really made me furious. They don?t want anyone walking in which is fine. Instead they created a pick up window. The issue is they get severalpeople at the window that wait in line. Instead of greeting people?asking what their order is and having them step aside toallow the next person in line to the window they have the first person just sit there until the order is done. This is not justthe restaurant?it is also the ignorance of people picking up to not allow the others to check in. We arrived to pick up ourorder yesterday. We had a half hour to get it?.get home and eat before my daughter had to be at a school event. I waited in thecar with my little one well my daughter waited in line. After sitting there for 5 minutes while the same guy just stood in frontof the window I called them to check on our order. They told me it was ready so I informed them my daughter was standing in linewaiting. Asked if they could please get it to her. Nothing. 10 more minutes goes by. The guy finally got his order then the nextlady does the same thing he did. Stands in the window and waits. I again call. I tell them we need to leave and can?t wait anylonger. I?m told they will get it to her. They failed to do so again. So here we are?20 minutes down?10 minutes before mydaughters event and the lady in the window finally gets her order and leaves. Absolutely ridiculous! Post something askingpeople to check in and step aside if this is the system you want to use!!! Moved to the area a short time ago and have become aregular however after this I?m not sure we will return."
