"As I planed a a small family gathering I hit several locations that offered Catering Service and Huey Moog's was the first location I tried and to say I was disappointed is an understanding . It was my first and last visit. First ; the minute I opened the door of this establishment I was smack by the smell of old dirty and humid rug. The location looked old and unkempt. Let's talk food ...... Chicken looked , smelled and tasted like it was fried in Old Oil not to mention that I have had chicken wings larger then the pieces That wr thrown in the box that was handed to me. Call it as you may but I don't know what all the fuss is about ."

I was not impressed with the food today. The chicken tenders were cold and small.

I ordered a three-piece meal, but they only gave me two smaller pieces along with a few fries.

The grocery items are of excellent quality and quite delicious, I must say. I would definitely return for more! View menu

They usually get my order right, but today it was fried instead of grilled, so I wasn't able to eat it, which is disappointing.

Pros: *clean restaurant *fast and friendly service *average fast food pricing *good portion Cons: *everything is seasoned with a LOT of black and red pepper it was off putting

The food was good and the staff was friendly. The problem is I always tip in cash. They charged an 18% tip that I did not authorize or know about. So I unknowingly tipped twice. Not cool! View menu

My online order was ready on time and correct and the staff was friendly. However, I had to attempt the online order 3 times before it went thru, there is no pick up area and they struggled to locate my order when I arrived. There was no order number on my email and the name I entered seemed to be missing on their end. The fries were total mush and unevenly seasoned. The tenders were good, maybe slightly over cooked, and the Magoo sauce was fine. We were in the area for soccer and I can't say we'd go again, not when so many other chicken tender chains have smooth online ordering, ease of pickup and consistent taste.

The food at Huey Magoo's is always good. It's a good local fast food place you can stop by with family or pick up food to take home. The chicken always taste fresh and the fries are sooo tasty. They are soft crinkle fries that are flavorful with a lot of seasoning. You can have your choice of breaded or grilled chicken that either come individual, in wraps, or sandwich. And let's not forget the sauces! The magoo sauce is the best to me! I like this place because if you want a healthier option you can get a grilled chicken wrap and a side salad. This is a good go to spot if you need something fast but still want quality food.

"I was very hopeful, seeing the reviews of this place, but when we went here to eat, it was utterly disappointing. We ordered the fried pimento cheese, the heirloom beet salad, the gumbo and the turkey club. The only decent thing we had was the fried pimento cheese. The gumbo had pretty much no flavor and there were probably 2 pieces of sausage in it. The chicken in the gumbo was in cubes. It looked like, and tasted like they got this out of a can from progresso. The turkey club was a joke. It was literally just a basic sandwich that they toasted the bread and threw some bacon onto. The turkey was not deli sliced, it looked like the fake stuff from oscar mayer. There was no middle piece of bread either. It was thin and flat. The fries that came with it were good. As for the heirloom tomato salad. If you know anything about heirloom tomatoes, you know they are multi-colored, usually large and oddly shaped compared to regular tomatoes. I love heirloom tomatoes, so we got the salad. The tomatoes on this salad were definitely not what anyone would consider heirloom. They were small, tri-colored grape tomatoes cut in half. Dont get me wrong, I like those tomatoes too, I buy them all of the time at the grocery store, but they do not call them heirloom, so do not advertise these as heirloom. The dressing with the salad was way too sweet. When we told the server we did not like the salad because they were not actual heirloom tomatoes and the dressing was too sweet, she argued with us and told us that she would bring out the box to show us that they did say they were heirloom. That almost makes me think that they have had other people say the same thing. Well, even if they found some knock off heirloom tomatoes, that is not what people think when they see it on a menu. So much of this menu tasted like it came from a box or a can. If this was a cheap little cafe somewhere, I would expect this kind of food, but for the prices they charge here, I expect much more. So disappointing. Maybe their brunch is good? Maybe they have good drinks? Their food, however, leaves much to be desired, especially for the prices they charge."
