"After a sad, long absence, I returned to Humble Bee last week with the hopes that it would be just as wonderful as I remember. It totally was!!! Bigger, more comfortable, and with excellent service. And the food.... I got my old favorite, the Panwich a glorious concoction of eggs and cheese wrapped in a pancake and topped with mascarpone and spiced apple shreds I passed on the house-made turkey sausage but my friend enjoyed his! . The perfect blend of savory sweet, soft crunchy. My only regret is this incredible dish doesn't photo well!"

I stopped by this place this past Sunday. Food is very good and prices are definitely good as well. Service is very friendly and has tables outside. I ordered tofu scrambled with beet juice. I will come back for sure.

My Gf and I have recently moved to the valley. We've eaten at different brunching places almost every Sunday. This is our top spot. The whole mood is at home and the staff is super friendly. The eggs and potatoes au gratin are my fave so far!

My favorite weekend breakfast place. I really come here to get the sourdough bread and her butter, the best I ever had. Everything is so delicious and fresh. The pastries are wonderful. There are outdoor terrace seats with shade and many interior seats with larger tables for large parties. The staff is always friendly and service is fast.

Price is pretty high for the quality. I got the recommended Humble Bee-Rito and it was pretty average. Weirdly they added some old cauliflower as a side? Not really sure what that was. The juice was good, but there are plenty of other restaurants that sell juice. Thinking about breakfast? Maybe check out other places in the area first. 2/5 stars because the juice was solid. I wanted to go to this restaurant for a while, and I'm glad I did. My server, Warren, was very wonderful. But really, every member of the staff I interacted with was beautiful and made for the perfect breakfast café atmosphere. I ordered the English Butty and it wasn't disappointed. Be careful, the Habanero sauce is pretty sharp! I will certainly recommend this place to my friends and family.

Great lunch/brunch option in the valley. There's plenty parking outside or on the street. 2 Beautiful menus for breakfast and lunch. No breakfast menu time limit. Had a really nice iced latte and their pastries are really good. Kid friendly but also lots of professionals were just there for lunch. Had a really nice black bean omelette and a tofu scramble. Both were delicious. Service is outstanding.

I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now, and I am so happy that I finally did. My server, Warren, was absolutely fantastic. In fact, every staff member I encountered was friendly and helped create a great breakfast café ambiance. I decided to try the English Butty and it was delicious. Just a heads up, the habanero sauce packs quite a punch! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family. View menu

The Tofu cubes and potatoes are very dirty, we took a few bites and we couldn't take more bites when we called the waitress to ask for the check and tell her that the food was bland and we couldn't eat it simply went away to get the check and not even the manager or gave us a discount, they could see clearly that our plates were still full, but they were still full, but they didn't even get the manager. We're not gonna eat here again.

"EMIE'S RESTAURANT is a busy eatery that is well-known for it's breakfast menu. We went in the evening to try their Mediterranean vegan/conventional menu. Emle's food is light, not oily, salty, or saucy. Our server, Omer, did an excellent job explaining each dish. As an appetizer, we ordered the breaded and fried portobello mushrooms. It was served with a lovely garlic sauce. All four of us enjoy this vegan specialty. I found the vegan vegetable plate to be ample and satisfying. The house-made pita, served with the plate, is delicious. The other guests also enjoyed their meals, however, one guest found the lobster risotto too rich. One caution: the bread dip cantains cheese and is therefore not vegan. There where no vegan desserts on the menu. Covid masks are required for entry. UPDATE: Sam, the new owner, has polished the menu. Not a lot was changed. There's a new chef. Our meals tasted a smidgen better. Sam stopped at our table to make sure everything was fine. It was. We have returned several times since this review was first published. Emie's new chef and Sam have never disappointed. Both patio and restaurant seating are available. Emle's is near California State University. Students and faculty with ID cards, are offered a discount. On Sunday, Monday, and Thursday alcohol drinks are half price. Parking, including wheelchair parking, is free and easy. Everything else, including the neutral-gender bathroom, is wheelchair accessible."

"First, I want to say this review is LONG overdue. Second, I want to say that a few years ago, I realized that eating beef or pork typically causes me severe intestinal distress, so I very rarely eat either. And lastly, it?s imperative to say that I am perhaps the pickiest eater on the planet. My adult sons tell me my food palate is that of a toddler ? I won?t eat, or even try most foods, including eggs, seafood, fish, or foods that look weird or have mushy textures (like mushrooms or tofu), in addition to a litany of other foods, so if I write a positive food review, rest assured, the restaurant, and food, was phenomenal. Months ago, I was invited to Los Angeles, with my friend of more than thirty years, Martha. On our first evening, we went to eat at Buenos Aires Grill with her aunt, uncle, mom, and cousins ? in total, we were a party of seven. All of the food ordered was shared, family style. Since I had heard so much about the restaurant, I knew I wanted to try everything ? and clearly, I (almost) did. Since Martha had eaten there before, and she knows my likes and dislikes, I requested she place the order on my behalf. We started with the empanadas. OH, MY GAWD? THESE empanadas are the ABSOLUTE BEST I have EVER eaten ? EVER? E.V.E.R. and I have lived in Cuba, México, and Spain? The empanadas are sheer PERFECTION? they APPEAR to be fake ? they are absolutely flawlessly shaped and baked? their crust is neither too thin nor too thick. The filling was drool inducing and I, honestly, genuinely, doubted the taste could be improved, but once I topped the empanada with the chimichurri, if I would have died, in that moment, I would have rested in peace as the happiest human on Earth. She also ordered both the Quesos Fundido and Provoleta and the Chimichurri and (French) Bread (baguette) ? I LOVE CHEESE, and French bread, but, once again, I am PICKY ? and skeptical of new foods. Both the cheeses caused my salivary glands to go into elated overdrive. The union of cheese, chimichurri, and the baguette? TO DIE FOR. I don?t know if Martha ordered the Manolo or Buenos Aires Parrilla, but I ate a bite, or two, of each and every single one of the elements. Despite having lived in Texas since 1990, and as an individual who has eaten countless steaks, ribs, sausages, and chorizo, I have never eaten more deliciously seasoned, epically prepared, and perfectly grilled bites of beef and pork. In addition to the meat, the parrillas were accompanied by mashed potatoes, French fries, Spanish rice, and sautéed vegetables. HOLY MOLY ? each side was mouthwatering, scrumptious, delightful. Fearing I would not want to eat the meat, based on the aforementioned explanation, Martha also ordered the Spinach Cheese Ravioli and the Chicken Alfredo? I have eaten A LOT of pasta dishes in my day? I was raised to believe I was 50% Italian (thanks to 23andMe, I now know that is false). In any case, I?m confident t"

"FAB HOT DOGS offers a gastronomic pallette of colorful comfort. The counter artists deftly create vibrant, tube steak sandwiches. The Chicago style hot dog is an excellent example. ¹ First, the pink red, meat or vegan dog is heated in boiling water. When at temperature, the sausage, whose color becomes an inviting red, is then encased in a cloud soft, steamed, yellowish brown, split bun, that 's lightly coated with blue black poppy seeds. Next, layer upon layer of sweet and savory condiments fashion the collage. First, a zigzag line of brilliant yellow mustard highlights the red hot. Next, tablespoons of chartreuse pickle relish and diced white onion are gently layered. Carefully nested, between the sausage and the bun, are two red tomato slices, and on the opposite side, two yellow green sport peppers. Finally, a deep green kosher pickle spear is placed on top and sprinkled with a dash of greenish brown celery salt. Perfection. My system for devouring this mixed texture salad on a dog is to pull the pickle spear, squeeze the bun, and take a satisfying bite; then alternate with bites of fries and pickle. Be aware: hot sports peppers bite back. It is considered gauche to squirt ketchup on Chicago 's hot dog, but enlightened to dip crisp, golden brown fries into the gorgeous red condiment. Fab provides vegan and all meat frankfurters and burgers. Order from Jessica or one of the other friendly, knowledgeable counter people. There is no table service. Since hot dogs are reflective of the street culture of their regions, New York style frankfurters ² are combined with the acid fermentation of yellowish green sauerkraut, diced raw white onions, and dark yellow mustard, to provide the proper Big Apple 's Tang. The sandwich is encased in a yellowish brown, split, steamed roll. Defined by California 's Mexican heritage, ³ pink red frankfurters, wrapped in pink white striped bacon, are roasted to reddish brown. The charred, bacon wrapped sausage is placed into a yellowish brown, split, toasted roll. Lines of deep red ketchup, bright yellow mustard, and snow white mayo, intertwine to highlight the protein. Fried, until charred, diced white onions, and multicolored peppers are added, completing the LA Street Dog. At Fab, proteins may be boiled, steamed, fried, or grilled and enjoyed with a selection of Mexican and American soft drinks. Gluten free buns, fries, chicken, onion rings, sandwiches, salads, and corn on the cob, fill their menu. Recently, an assortment of bowl meals has been added. They will mix or match to meet your dietary preferences. Sit Indoor or on the patio. Telephone, internet, carry outs, curbside pickup, and no contact deliveries are available. Everything, including easy, free parking, and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Keys to use the bathrooms are available at the order desk. Fab Hot Dogs has a special benefit for regular customers. Eat all that 's on the menu (Not, hopefully, in one sitting. and get a t shirt and have your picture displayed in the I Ate It All Wall of Fame. The Food Channel 's Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive Ins and Dives loved the place. His picture is proudly displayed. So be a kid again. It 's just like sitting at a picnic table on the 4th of July. Just chomp on a couple of yellow green sport peppers and you 'll experience colorful fireworks. ¹ Reportedly, the Chicago style, all beef frank, on a poppy seeded bun, originated at Abe Fluky Drexler 's stand in 1929. Vegetable toppings were added to improve nutrition. During the 1930s, they sold for a nickel. ² In 1871, Charles Feltman opened the first Coney Island hot dog stand selling 3,684 dachshund sausages in a roll during his first year in business. ³ The Los Angeles bacon wrapped street dog, most likely came from Hermosillo, Mexico, in the 1950 's.
