"We had a great time at this restaurant! I really appreciate that it's a small family-owned business. My daughter and I stopped by this evening and noticed that our ice creams had different textures. Hers was smooth while mine was a bit crumbly, but it didn’t matter since it became smoother as it melted. I'm usually a fan of soft serve, but I still enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning! My daughter was excited to tell her dad about this place because it’s right up his alley. She ordered the butter pecan, and I got the cookies and cream. I initially expected it to be made with Oreo cookies, but it turned out to be with vanilla cookies, which was a pleasant surprise. I actually liked it better than the typical chocolate cookies and cream!"

"My girlfriend and I went to story last night. Our server, Robert, was an awesome host and the entire staff was attentive to our needs. It made for a wonderful date night! She had the duck breast and I had the beef tenderloin. It was all excellent. I’m a professional chef myself and a pretty big stickler for places I try. Story exceeded each of those expectations that I had. Each dish was well composed and when put together, was truly a great culinary experience. The duck was tender but rich. The beef was again so tender but exuded the rich flavor that the chef was putting on the plate. We shared the Brussel sprouts and French fries as sides. They were both great. The sprouts are dressed in a mustard sauce but again, they tasted great. The fries were well seasoned with rosemary salt for a “oh my goodness, I need to keep eating this” feeling lol. For the end of our meal, we shared the lemon tart cake and again, it was excellent. My only gripe is that the honey ice cream was a little strong on the front end but still it was delicious. So kind of a nitpick there. My girlfriend had a cocktail called the “Hemingway” and she also really enjoyed it. The only downside that story has is it’s interior. It’s lovely but because they’re seating so many people in a large open room with lowered ceilings, it gets very loud and it’s hard to hear the conversation happening at your own table. That’s my only gripe. And it’s really not much of a gripe to be honest. I’d still go back to Story. Highly recommend, 9/10 stars. "Food was very good. Service was very good. Drinks were top notch. Here’s the issue, if you tell your server that you have anaphylactic shock allergies to three items, you don’t expect them to deliver a sauce with two of those items to your plate. I explained how this allergy makes my throat close and my blood pressure drop and also explained I’ve ended up in the emergency room numerous times. It didn’t seem to matter. I called the manager over and explained this and told her to make sure the kitchen staff understands how serious this is. I do not think she took it seriously and that was disappointing."

"Bregr eating is great! the artichoke bisque was absolutely fabulous- even my year old loved it! the tables are so close to each other that they feel like eating with strangers, as they can hear any word of the surrounding table talks. it was a Friday night and they were very busy, so maybe they had extra table setup?"

"This is one of my favorite BBQ place in Kansas City area. This is a very well known local BBQ restaurant. I normally ordered pick 3 meats and it was enough to feed 2 people for just $27 with 2 sides. The burnt end is always the best. The lamb was super tender and juicy, it used to be a part of pick 3 , but now it costs $5 for the lamb. They also have the best bake bean ever that I couldn 't find the same at anywhere else. The amount of meat and bean was less than 2 years ago since the last time I 've been to. They always busy, even though it 's Monday."
