"Fun, quirky unexpected find nestled in an out-of-the-way corner of town. Plenty of selections of food and beverages, good service, kitshy art, lots of outlets for phone and laptop charging, easy going. Only drawback is parking! Used the lot across the way which was unmarked but didn't belong to the joint. Would be great if you secured that lot for your own. Just passing through, but worth the time to give you a 5 star rating!"

This is definitely the best shop in the city. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is very knowledgeable, and the products are exceptional. I’ve never been disappointed.

I had a fantastic experience with their morning bagels! The location is lovely, and I highly recommend trying the Cyclops and the Sprite. The portions are just right—not too big, and not too small. View menu

Love this place so much! It's hard to find a great café where I can bring my 2 year old daughter without getting dirty looks because she's a little loud. We feel right at home here : how cool is it that they have chalkboard walls for her to color on too!?! She's very amused while mom and dad get their caffeine fix. Great hidden gem.

This is the best coffee spot in Bridgeport! I really appreciate the fact that I can bring my dog with me while I enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee. The baristas are fantastic—super friendly and always provide excellent service. They’re great to chat with, especially when I stop by for my fourth cup of the day. Plus, the teacher's discount is a nice bonus! View menu

January and John are great host's at this gem in Bridgeport . I lived around the corner from there and was there everyday . I have since moved to the Nwside and wish it was still around the corner . Every time I am in Bridgeport it is a must to stop in for an iced latte , do the same and you will definitely not be disappointed . Love and miss the place

Neat place. Today was my first time there. I had minestrone and a sandwich called the centaur. I was impressed. Soup tasted great and the sandwich was good. The set up is neat. I will definitely repeat to try their coffee. The staff is real friendly. They even joked around with me. They also have kids sandwiches. I want to bring my 7 year old with me he will have a kick out of this place.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
